Just today I had an appointment and the system had not confirmed it but when I showed up the staff were very cooperative and accommodated me. Even though I was supposed to see Dr Kerr who is a visiting physician in this office, they squeezed in a slot for me with Dr Lahiri. I had a scheduled C-section, and to my shock, Dr. Seidner used staples instead of sutures on my incision. Having worked in the medical field for many years, I know that staples are typically used for geriatric or obese patients, not for someone in their 30s with no medical indication. I never imagined a doctor would choose this option for me without any explanation or consent. The result was devastating. The scar left behind by these staples was horrific, barbaric, and completely unnecessary. My surgery alone cost over $18,000, and yet the care I received fell far below basic expectations. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor. Please ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't assume every provider will choose the best or most appropriate method for you. My experience left me with a permanent reminder of a decision I was never informed about.

When I got my copy of the report, about a week later, it showed a lot of PVC's. There was Bigeminy & Trigeminy, along with short (but frequent) runs of V-tack which could easily go into a life-threatening cardiac event. She got a copy of the report, as I do. I was schedualled for a cardiac ablation. This was the 2'nd attempt made. The 1'st time it was because, although it was the day before the procedure, I was hit with a list of meds not to take starting 5 days before. During this procedure all seemed to go well as far as I can remember, but it all seemed to short. That's when I was told that the procedure was not done because they saw no ectopic beats. Now this was the 2'nd time this attempt was aborted & by now I was getting pretty pissed. I mean didn't she see her own report, or for that matter the RWJ cath staff as well. My best advice to you is that you stay clear of both this doctor (?) as well as this hospital. They have both made a ton of money off of me & absolutely nothing was done to help me. Now I have to find another Dr. & hospital myself. If you truly care about your loved one, do not let your family member get anywhere near these 2, or you may find yourself doing the horrible task of dealing with just another, unexplained, sudden cardiac death. He explained the medical issues clearly, took his time, and explained all my options and the pluses and minuses. I was so confident in his ability to manage my issues and that he would make sure that I got the best oversight and care. I also liked that he takes into consideration the aesthetics of an issue in terms of how to address what to do. Other doctors thought I shouldn't care about that. I think most people care about that! So I was ecstatic that that he also took that into consideration. I've had chemotherapy and he was knowledgeable about the issues that arise from these treatments. Another big relief! He also understands that choices to be made in terms of how to proceed involve not only the issue that you came in for, but how it relates to whole health, such as other medications you may be taking and other risks. Very, very, important. The extra perks? The office staff is uniformly amazing, kind, and welcoming. Makes for a great atmosphere to walk into. And....the "piece de resistance"....Dr. Acello is unbelievably funny! How can you top that? A fabulous doctor who makes you laugh! I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Acello.
