If you are looking to furnish an empty space, stop what you're doing and at least set up a call…read morewith the Splendid & Swanky team. For background, I have no interest in interior design and have no business spending real money on furniture I know nothing about. But I found myself in a situation where I had nothing for a space that had to be smartly utilized. And I wanted it to be beautiful. Was this really the time to experiment with Pinterest while spending thousands of dollars? & I needed the furniture to last long enough that I wouldn't have to think about this again for a very, very long time. I also needed to buy everything during a pandemic, when everything was delayed... So I turned to an option I never had considered before - hiring interior designers. I had heard great things about this team and wanted to explore sourcing this huge project out to them. It's a pretty simple process. You go to their website and fill out an intake form that introduces yourself and the project. Then they'll sell up a virtual call to meet and discuss your style, and budget. Then they came and looked at the space, took measurements. Then they pitched a proposal. From there you have to make some decisions. They are going to present you with options that may be outside of your budget. This is where we gotta grow up a little and recognize that if you want nice things, this is how much that actually cost. I was happy to increase my original proposed budget to get what I needed. But there were some peices that I wanted to spend less on and they quickly came back with lower priced options. They were very adaptable there. With that, they placed the order! Over the course of the next few months, the furniture started arriving. They work with a contractor who you can hire (through them, they handle all the admin work) who can assemble, hang, etc do all that work for you. They even came over to make sure everything was hung in the right spots. There is a science and art to design that they are factoring into every decision for your space, and it's worth their fee to get all your nice new furniture all in the right place. They look for beauty and functionality in every detail of the space. So now I have this gorgeous dining room [photo provided]. Our guests are blown away whenever they walk even towards the space. It's exactly what I wanted when I described the target ambiance to the team. Beautiful, relaxed, warm, stylish. I can't tell you how happy I am with my experience with Splendid & Swanky and the confidence it brought me about my home. If you're able to, whenever you're able to, hire professionals to do things you can't do well. It'll always be worth it. Here is the proof.

Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that. Attached are a few pics of the finished product. I definitely recommend using Inspired Home Design for updating and staging your home. I'm sure glad I did.

I was kind of awkward at first, knowing that we might have different taste. However, June listened and adjusted to what I liked. In a short time, we selected a delightful suite of living room furniture. June made sure the furniture arrived on time and arrived on the delivery day to put everything gorgeously in place while I worked on my business, including tactfully putting aside some junk and even offering to hang our art. That gave me huge relief, because it was the day before my guests were to arrive, and I had no time to deal with it. I was also impressed that June did many things off the clock and didn't charge us extra when she realized it would suit our taste and lack of time best to order our art gallery wrapped. June also found a way to repurpose four lamps that we had so that they went with the decor where they were situated. I have already hired Shea Studio Interiors for an additional project to spruce up my bedroom and office. Additionally, June's suggestion to move my office from upstairs to downstairs has tremendously benefitted my business operations, will save me on taxes, and will provide me a better sense of peace in the upstairs, "home" part of my home/office. My family was very comfortable using the furniture we selected (except for the jealousy, perhaps), and my sister-in-law said it looked like something out of a magazine! In short, Shea Studio made our house more homey and beautiful and our office more businesslike and functional. Highly recommend.

What started as a kitchen remodel quickly turned into a full-home renovation because everything was going so smoothly--and that's thanks to the amazing team at Shea Studio and Duran Contracting. Bonnie was our main designer, and she was incredible--super thoughtful, creative, and totally invested in the project. Leah kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and June (the owner) was hands-on during all the key phases. They were all great to work with: professional, seemingly always available, and flexible. What made a huge difference was how much time they spent upfront getting to know our style and what we needed from the space. We'd never done that kind of deep dive before, and it made everything else so much easier. From there, it felt like they just "got" us--they really took our vision and ran with it. They helped us find the right partners for everything--cabinets, appliances, furniture, lighting, even a custom wine room. Everyone they brought in was top-notch and fairly priced. Plus, they handled all the scheduling, deliveries, and any issues that popped up (like damaged items or delays), so we didn't have to worry about a thing. If you're thinking about remodeling or redesigning your home, we can't recommend Shea Studio enough. They're talented, professional, and just great people. Our home even won a Home & Design award this year--and we've included photos so you can see for yourself!

She has a great eye for design and color and is easy to talk to and personable-- this was especially important to me since I wanted to work with someone that I can "click" with. There are tons of design options out there and I can easily spend multiple days just trying to pick out a single piece of furniture, let alone trying to make it look good and work with an entire room, so Colleen's services are invaluable. I just let her and her team do the hard work of putting together color palettes, layouts and mood boards and I tweak little details to my liking if I want. My entire house now looks instagrammable (can't help but notice how good rooms look in the background when I take pictures of the kids around the house) and I'm enjoying its looks as well as function every single day thanks to Colleen and RedBird!

Even…read moreScale did over 20k worth of work on my house, which is by far the most I've ever spent-- my wife and I not being huge earners--but I got a *TON* done for a very good price at the highest quality. Here's what we had done: Problem- A poorly built pergola structure was dumping rain water under a poorly built gutter, which was leaking into the kitchen drywall and causing the ceiling to near collapse over time. Solution- EvenScale emergency-fixed and painted the kitchen drywall over the weekend, installed new gutters to eliminate first part of the problem. Problem- Roof was 5 years overdue for new shingles and pergola resting on shingles was making this problem worse. Solution- EvenScale came back later once we had chosen special architectural shingles to give the house a rustic cottage look and reroofed the house. They raised the pergola on two supports that fit nicely on top of our patio. At this point, we figured we might as well finish the front path and portico/awning that was falling apart as well. Problem- no landscaper wanted to try and match our front path to the scattered, rustic stone look of our house. We kept getting expensive quotes for uniform gray paver paths. We waned a stepping stone path and a grouted multicolored stone path that arched in front of house. Solution- Roberto and EvenScale worked with us in a large project to do exactly what we wanted, including hand-cutting the stones, hand-selecting the colors, and placing the stones prior to grouting in a pattern the day before so that we had input into the final result. Problem- the awning was old and looked very DYI but wasn't totally rotten, and we didn't want to overspend on a new construction. Solution- EvenScale redesigned the awning over our existing awning, cutting out some of the supports, fitting it with the new gutter, and using painted PVC to give it a taller and more elegant look. Overall, this was a top-notch experience for us as homeowners. We had input into every aspect of the project and got to know to workmen on a personal level as they communicated their plans alongside the foreman and owner. We ended up with the exact look we wanted at about 60 percent of the price we were quoted elsewhere, and these other quotes were "take-it-or-leave-it" quotes that didn't quite make us feel like it was what we wanted. With EvenScale, we got exactly what we dreamed and so for folks who are careful with their money and their home, it was simply put, a dream come true. I urge you not to hesitate if you are interested in getting the highest quality with a very personal touch.

We moved in over a year and half ago and still haven't seemed to put the place together. Rebecca came over to take measurements and created some amazing 3D drawings of our apartment. And I mean the ENTIRE apartment. Details included pictures we had on the wall and decor on our tables. It really helped us understand what our place would look like before vs. after. She suggested 2 options to layout our apartment and gave us specific measurements for us in regards to furniture we want to replace as well as the new area rugs, drapes and lamp shades. Rebecca offered to help us pick out furniture and when we declined to save $$, she still offered up some websites to check out as she could still help get us a discount. Rebecca was even willing to stay in touch with me as we picked out a couch and coffee table at no extra charge. Little questions like "will this fit because your dimensions didn't allow it?" she answered promptly. When we even picked out the couch we wanted from The Sofa Co, I sent her a picture and asked her if the price we were given was average to similar couches. It turns out she was able to find us the exact couch we wanted for a fraction of the price!!!! I mean, that alone paid for her services plus SAVED US OVER A GRAND!!!!!!!
