Love these guys! They did a really nice job staging my townhouse. Was able to sell really quickly and for a great price, and I think the staging had a lot to do with it. Very nice and knowledgeable, and a great value for the quality of the work. Actually wish they had set up my house before I moved in! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend!!! It was our first time working with interior designers and we couldn't have been happier with Splendid and Swanky. They were extremely professional, responsive, answered all of our questions, and made the whole process go as smooth as possible. During the design phase, they really took the time to listen to our vision and then used their expertise to turn that into a reality. They're very transparent about pricing, timelines, and how the project will look (they provided us with renderings prior to ordering anything). Additionally, their contractor did great work especially with the minor final details which is where a lot of contractors fail. We're incredibly thrilled with how our apartment turned out and our experience working with them!

I highly recommend this service. Splendid & Swanky has far exceeded all of my expectations in all respects. Their methodical approach to both the creative design and execution process also entailed them being prompt , responsive, accommodating , and efficient. They were able to listen to my ideas and ultimately incorporate them into their vision to create an overall esthetic that was both alluring and appropriate in terms of functionality for the space . These women are the consummate professionals, highly talented and highly resourceful. Their passion for their craft made the entire experience a pleasurable one which was both seamless and enjoyable. My fiancé and I are beyond impressed and delighted with the outcome as well as the entire process as a whole.

They were running a terrific promotion and Katie Ogden, my salesperson, was unbelievably helpful. patient and accommodating. The furniture was delivered and the truck crew was also great and used some real ingenuity getting some larger pieces into my small DC rowhouse. The furniture itself is advertised to be in "showroom condition" but it's anything but that, Most pieces definitely looked like used furniture and the dining room table had been very amateurishly "refinished" (i.e., painted) by their warehouse staff. To their credit, they give you 2 weeks to swap out pieces but for me, I was up against a deadline and they didn't have replacements for some pieces. So what's the problem? They overcharged me by over $500. After an exchange of emails, they finally acknowledged the overcharge but 2 months later and I still haven't gotten my refund. In addition, when they picked up the furniture they forgot a couple of wall pictures so they sent a truck to pick them up. The problem is they can't find them so charged me for them... twice! Bottom line... I found their sales and delivery staff top notch. Their accounting staff, on the other hand, is horrid and unresponsive. My advice is to stay away.

Probably the best thing you can say about our original furniture is that it was eclectic. More truthfully, it simply didn't really look that great, pretty much a "before" project on what you'd see on HGTV. Once Vanessa and Michelle got through with it, the interior of the house was totally transformed. The first step was Vanessa came through the house with her contractor, Arlin, and recommended changes to be made, including updating ceiling fans, light fixtures, installing recessed lights, etc. We didn't do everything she recommended but we did most. Vanessa coordinated all of the contracting work done by Arlin and his team, and provided all the quotes. The prices for the various jobs were very competitive, generally cheaper than other estimates I received from other contractors. The bottom line is that the results speak for themselves. We received multiple offers and sold the house for $110K over list within 5 days for the highest price ever sold in our neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for much more than that. Attached are a few pics of the finished product. I definitely recommend using Inspired Home Design for updating and staging your home. I'm sure glad I did.

Next is the service The 24 hour service is a joke, and apparently a non working faucet in the bathroom is not an "emergency" for them. When the microwave stopped working about 8 times, they said "use the switchboard and do it yourself". They would take 3-4 days and 10 calls to actually come and fix something. The apartment staff was also very rude and entitled. Next and the most important thing which i'm still waiting for is the billing. The bill incorrectly multiple times, from discrepancies in the bill, and charging again saying "we forgot to add this amount". Like are you kids?? Very unprofessional. And the most important thing which im waiting for is my security deposit. One staff member told me i will get it back within 3-4 days, then another said a week and another said a month. After mailing then multiple times and getting no response, I will be going ahead with a court case soon. Do not use this service at all.

They charged us for a rollaway even though there was a pull-out couch and they refused to refund the fee. The apartment's heat didn't work for a full day of our stay. The pictures speak for themselves but I will mention a few things of special note. First, we had representatives from 3 different companies come to our house and quote. Anabella impressed us immediately with her comments and also that she did a walk-through of the house making a video, essentially making notes for herself, and perhaps her co-workers, about what might be brought in and where it should be placed. (Our movers had already taken our furniture away so it was perhaps easier working with an empty space.) Second, this company was slightly cheaper than the other two for the first month but the real difference is what happens if your house is not under contract after a month and you want to keep the furniture for a second month. The other two companies forced you to make a decision in advance as to whether you choose a one-month, or a two-month, contract. How can you know in advance how fast your house will sell. If you took the one-month option, keeping it longer was expensive, though I can't recall exactly how much. In the case of Staging Design DC, there is no need to guess in advance. If you have not sold your property, just tell them you need the furniture longer and it is 20% extra per month. Third, a really clever visual change was to arrange the living room furniture in a U-shape with the open end of the U facing toward the entry. It made the room seem significantly larger. We had a TV against the wall and the "U" the other way around so when you entered, you first saw the back of a chair. Fourth, a minor thing perhaps but the things they hung on the wall generally used hooks that were already there but they were all light so only small hooks were needed. One of the other companies wanted to hang a mirror. Mirrors of any size are heavy and so need a large drywall anchor to secure them which might be unsightly once the mirror is gone. You would have to hang something else there to cover it. When my wife first saw the house as the installation was being completed, she gasped and said, "I'm so happy!". You will be too.

I recently had a very hairy and stressful transaction where we didn't know whether we'd close or not. Our contract had expired but Paula , the Operations Director, was very flexible and chill. She let us have a few extra days while we tried to work things out and did not add to the pressure. We ended up needing to extend another month and the fee for the extension was very reasonable.
