On a whim, I checked out Groupon to see if I could find any good dentists. After looking through a number of options, I decided to visit Dr. Cruz at Aspire Dental Care due to the combination of price, office hours, good reviews, and the holistic health philosophy that is sadly lacking in much of the dental industry these days. Let's just say that I couldn't be happier I chose to go with Aspire. Dr. Cruz is smart and caring, and he took the time to explain everything to me with the help of both x-ray and intraoral photographs. He also took into consideration both my dental AND medical history to come up with an appropriate treatment plan; I've never had a dentist do this before. The staff is similarly fantastic. Post-appointment, they actually sat down and walked me through my treatment plan to ensure I understood the future dental work I may want to have done. Moreover, when I told them I didn't have dental insurance, they were more than willing to work with me on a dental discount plan. Even with all this, I never felt they were "pushing" any unnecessary treatments on me. All in all, I'm looking forward to staying with Dr. Cruz, despite the fact that it's a 45 minute drive away for me. I not only value the level of care I receive at Aspire, but I also trust that they have my best interests at heart.

Little did I know the actual doctor himself would answer the phone and happily schedule me an appointment for a few hours later, Sunday evening! Eric & his wife Lindsay and seriously the best there is. Everything from scheduling the appointment, to when I got there and the care exceeded my expectations! Turns out I needed a root canal and then a crown. The entire process was seemless. And the end results are beautiful. (I feel like this should mean a LOT coming from me, because a series of unfortunate dental experiences has traumatized me to the point that I have enormous amount of dental anxiety AND also an enormous amount of dental fixing to be accomplished -- even 15 years later.) I would follow either of these doctors to the ends of the earth, and I would never allow another dentist to care for me (which will be very problematic if either one should retire while I still have teeth!!!). I have been seen on a routine basis, on an emergency basis after hours, squeezed in before work, after work (for me), on the weekend. Both dentists have called me to check in after a procedure, or have called if I've had a concern after hours. If specialized advice is needed, they have many exceptional contacts in the area, and on the occasion that I have required referral for advanced work, I have known that I would be able to trust their referral partner as much as I do them. Dr. Dunn and Dr. Montgomery care so much about their clients' well-being and comfort, and they also love what they do, and they are masters in their field. They treat their staff with respect, and their staff is kind, gentle, and well-skilled across the board. Their facility is brand new, immaculately clean, and offers multiple state of the art treatments that are rare to find in a primary care center. I recommend these doctors to everyone I know who is looking because I know how much they have helped me and care for me, and I know that my experience is the rule there (and not the exception to it).

First issue is that I never approved sealant and the second issue is that I took the kids to another dentist afterwards to check the work and unfortunately there were only four teeth with remnant of sealant and nothing else. Sealant usually last for years if they were placed in the first place. If this is not highway robbery I don't know what is. If I tell you I was taken advantage of that would be an understatement. It's sad to see a supposedly professional office Fraudulently charged clients for work that has not been rendered. I had to get the sealant thrdone at another dentist. Also charged me for x-rays for my wife that they have never provided me copy of even though I specifically asked them for copy of all x-rays.

First of all, I asked if my insurance would cover my regular dental checkup and was told it would. I in fact discovered after the fact that this office was out of network, which led me to incur personal expenses out of pocket. As these are almost always avoidable, I found this very disappointing. Second, I was given an XRay without being warned of the possibility that I would have to pay out of pocket for it. Apparently the XRay that was provided was a special type of XRay that is only covered for me once every few years, while a normal XRay would have been covered. I'm disappointed that I was not informed about this, as it would have saved me literally hundreds of dollars. Third, I discovered that the office never filed a claim with my insurance provider, meaning I wasn't going to receive even a partial reimbursement from my insurance. It wasn't until 7 weeks later when I inquired about the status of my case that the admins at Omene filed this claim. The dental practice itself seems to be high quality but given that I've never had so many problems on the administrative side before, I felt that this was a fair score.
