They do things differently there…read more If you happen to be in this very busy part of central Albany, perhaps getting an amazing Gyro from My Gyro Station, or a Falafel/Shawarma Pita sandwich from Mamoun's, you will instantly notice the massive, dominant, haunting, imposing structure across the street, just the way you see it in the rainy picture I posted. The Armory, for me, is the most spectacular sight in Albany. Partly because of the way it looks and dominates the area with its sheer size, but partly because it's in an area full of shops and people and traffic, and really stands out from all the typical downtown hustle and bustle, rather than being tucked away somewhere. It's right on a major intersection. It give Albany a lot of character and is well worth checking out. Definitely a 5-star attraction. And if you fall in love with a French girl here (probably from Montreal), then that's very Amoury.

There is a second floor that is a much larger conference hall with high ceilings and cool blue lighting. We had lunch on the one full day of the conference. Parking if you are driving is available across the street and can be accessed either from the street or through a skyway that is connected with the Capital Center.

I parked in general admission and the walk was only 7ish minutes and mostly flat! They do have a clear bag policy up to a certain size or you can bring a small wristlet in/cross body...but it's very strict. They have a special technology that takes a picture of your purse and measures it. Mine was like an inch too big so my boyfriend had to walk back to the car :( They do have clear plastic bags so I asked for one for my belongings and he brought my bag back. Once I got into the venue, the merch was right in the entrance and lines weren't long. Plus, there's so many food options and a lot of it is grab and go so you "pay" before you enter and they take a picture of what you get on the security cameras and charge you after..pretty efficient! My chicken tenders were good with the fries, yum! My seats were great in section 240, a clear view of the stage. Wasn't too cold at night but I brought a sweater. We left a few songs early so we could avoid the traffic. When I came to Taylor Swift I waited 3 hours to leave.... I feel like this is a major fire hazard! How would they evacuate ADA people in a timely manner if there was an emergency!? They ONLY have 6 open for Pats game and 4 for concerts!! Plus the single elevators only hold approx 6-8 people? And there is an attendant in there as well. - restrooms: tons of them everywhere and fast moving short lines! Attendants cleaning all the time! - food: tons of places for drinks, food, snacks, etc right by each section. Cashless hand-held systems. Standard stadium food. Prices are bonkers! - customer/guest service: super helpful and friendly, but not a lot of them (4) so lots of walking to get to them in the center field on level 1 & 3 - seats: each has a cup holder and standard size seat. This place is such a gem. From the Hartford area, the drive out to Lime Rock is beautiful in and of…read moreitself. The park is in an idyllic location, with gorgeous, hilly scenery as the back drop to the track. The race we attended was such a fun way to spend an afternoon with family. You seemed to be able to bring your own picnics, which makes sense because there is camping there also. There were also plenty of food trucks and vendors, beer tents, etc. and of course lots of cool race cars to look at. Pit row was open for fans to walk around and get close up, which was very cool. My 6 year old son was able to get a racer's autograph on his hat, and he thought that was pretty cool. The event staff seemed pretty lax, friendly, and helpful. We were with my parents, who especially appreciated the golf cart ride to the track from the parking area and back. Great experience and looking forward to returning.

No cars allowed.... so this allows you to walk right inside the bridge ( love that there is a picnic bench inside too)The bridge goes over a small stream loaded with rocks and wildlife. On the outside of the bridge there are also another pathway to get a closer look at the stream. Very cute area perfect for a quick lunch break and rest before getting back on the road.

On one side of the entrance around the corner from the public pool there are play areas, basketball hoops, a gazebo and benches. Residents and non-residents alike may use the pool and small children's water park for a small fee. There are public bathrooms, but they are what you would expect from an old, public park bathroom...built with concrete blocks and minimally cleaned (ie: kinda gross), but at least they're available. On the other side of the entrance is a baseball field. In the winter, the hill is a popular spot for sledding and skiing. There is a T-bar and the capacity to make snow. Many local children get their start skiing here because it is incredibly inexpensive to buy a day pass and free for children under 5. If you venture further up the hill you'll find other fields, an ice skating rink, a small outdoor stage, and a picnic pavilion. The views from the top of the hill are beautiful, and from the top there are hiking trails through the woods around the park.
