We generally shop at Harris Teeter twice a week; their selection of produce is very good and generally, you can find anything you might be looking for. They have an enormous selection of alcoholic beverages and isles, overflowing with snack food... They are great at "bait and switch" advertising, and when you come in they are all out of the sale item (if they ever had any at all) basically old-fashioned con artists, snake oil salesman place, do yourself a favor go anywhere else read more

One of my favorite things about this grocery store is the salad bar...everything is fresh and they offer a good selection of greens (kale, spinach, iceberg, romane, spring mix), lots of veggie and meat topping options, as well as pre-made salads (pasta salad, chicken and tuna salads, seafood salad, bean salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad + more). They even have a dessert option. To top it all off, they only charge $4.99/pound...I'm not sure any store can beat that! The rest of the store is like an upscale grocery store...think Whole Foods'ish. They have a good selection of organic and specialty items but it is a little more pricy....so if you just want daily items you can buy them cheaper at target or Walmart or wherever. read more

This is my favorite grocery store in Wilson. It is centrally located, has good parking, and easy to get in and out of. The store is always clean and they have a very good selection of fruits and vegetables. The prices are reasonably and the selection is above average. They have an amazing salad bar at this store. Every day at lunch the place is busy with patrons coming in for lunch. read more

Harris Teeter located in Wilson North Carolina is a great disappointment. It's definitely the land of high prices! I no longer shop there unless I need something specific I can't find any place else.. I used to shop there all the time but all the time but can't afford it plus so many items in the produce department are rotten! I have actually complained to the customer service manager and the manager in this produced department more than one time that the produce that they're putting out on the shelves is rotten. It's amazing because they always have a man working in the produce department Putting new stock out on the shelves but the stock that they're putting out or mixing should be thrown out. One day I needed avocados and ask them to go in the back to see if they had a Box of ones that were on the shelf were all Brown and mushy. Forget trying to get waited on at the deli. It takes me longer to get waited on at the deli than it does to do all my shopping. More than once I have counted 5 to as many 7 people standing behind the counter all doing something so important others having conversations between themselves why you're the only person waiting to get deli meat yet you're ignored or told Hold on we'll be with you soon. I shopped at Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill for 20 years when I lived there and didn't have this sort of problem. When I go to my daughter's house and Charlotte we always go to Harris Teeter and it's very nice. I think they just send all their rotten food to this store. read more

Ok as far as super markets go. The check outs are always very disorganized and even if there is no line you wait. Employees are hard to find in terms of asking for help, they never seem to know where another employee is who has answers. The last thing is they never seem to have anything in stock. And are consistently inaccurate in their predictions of when something will be in stock. Luckily a new Lidel supermarket is opening across the street so hopefully the shopping experience in Wilson will improve drastically! read more

This is the best and cleanest grocery store in Wilson. The staff remember your names and get to know you and your family!!! We have bee going to years and love the way we are treated!!! Prices are high on something's but on other things they are cheaper or the same as the other grocery stores. The meat is definitely better than most grocery stores! It's fresh and will cut how ever you want it. The pharmacy in the store know us and our family and have always taking care of us!! The the one thing I will add is they will open another check out line if they need to and even the manager will open one up. I have seen that! This is not like Walmart with 1 lane open for 30 people. Not sure what the other person Tamiz is talking about unless they went in a holiday, triple couple day etc. They must been in Walmart and thinking about going to Harris Teeter!!!!! NEVER experienced anything over the year as Tamiz described. Sounds like a fake negative review to me!!! Probably works at Food look or Walmart!!! LOL read more

Harris Teeter is the best grocery store in Wilson, even though some of the prices are more expensive the customer service is always good and the food is fresh. If you are not satisfied with a product, you cheerfully get double your money back. Also, if you pay attention, you can find great deals...not to mention the meal deals. We would be at a loss without them....Lidl cant touch them. read more
