Carmel greeted me right at the door and was so friendly and accommodating! If you park in the lot, she will validate your parking ticket for you. Doctor Monica spent over an hour with me for a consultation and adjustment. We spoke in depth about my pain and concerns, and then she explained what she believed we needed to work on. She said she really focuses on muscle therapy, in addition to adjustment, which has already made a world of difference after one visit. I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for 8 years, and it has recently worsened. After one session with her, I am feeling much better. I then had a massage with Alicia, and it complimented my adjustment perfectly! I've never had a professional massage focus time on my head and feet, and it felt so nice! Important to point out, the practice is currently only accepting BCBS insurance. I'm fortunate to have that so I only have a co-pay for the adjustment and massage, but if you don't have BCBS, the massage would be $80, and I'm not sure the cost of the adjustment. Also worth noting is that the office space is so nice! It's clean, modern, inviting, and has spa vibe to it, as opposed to a medical office. Finally, it's located in Gaslight Village, so after my appointment, I ventured to Starbucks for a coffee and to read my book. Great day!

He would spend an average of about 8 minutes with me and typically make the same comment - "that was good work today!". Same with my wife. It is run like a production/assembly line operation to get as many patients as possible through, thus maximizing revenue. As a 43-year business/sales management professional, I understand the purpose of maximizing revenue but not by rushing your paying patients through the process. At Burkhart Chiropractic, they spend a minimum of 20 minutes with you conducting a much more thorough adjustment. About the only thing positive about Gillis Chiropractic is that the staff is friendly. Other than that, don't waste your time. I wanted to stay in bed or stay home because I knew that it would be too painful. It felt like a cattle call each time I visited with a roomful of people waiting to be seen. A PA system is used to announce when you are up and what room to go to. This is a "room" without any privacy at all and would be better described as a nook. On one visit as I lay on the exam table waiting to be seen I sensed someone standing beside me and lifted my head up to find a small child there looking at me. Creepy! The PA system is very hard to hear because of the loud christain music playing. During covid no "doctor" there wore a mask. I was made to feel odd because I asked about masks. This is a very cult like organization pushing religion and running people through the system to make the maximum amount of money possible. They use the torque technique to do the adjustments which doesn't really seem to accomplish much. There is no hands on treatment, no face to face interaction with the technician. You are expected to wait in a crowded waiting area, when called jump up on the adjustment table and lie face down waiting for the adjuster, receive one or two torques and leave. I will not be signing up again with this office.
