I bought a $800 Boss jacket from Harry Rosen Bankers Hall Calgary. After a year the sleeve liner started to fall apart everywhere. I took it in and they said "it happens" and I had to pay to have it fixed. I'll never go there again. read more

The people who complained about service at this store must be living on a different planet as to what their expectations are. I've never had better service in my life, nor knew what great service was until I've bought a suit here. You don't just have a sales person available to help you, instead you have a guide through the entire process and whenever you come back, they call over the same person who remembers all your personal details. Harry Rosen is a great chain. I ended up going three times at two different locations while there. I will get this out of the way first. I walked out of the Harry Rosen store on the Queensway. The lady was literally glued to me the whole time. I am the only person who will talk myself into purchasing something and if left alone, will almost certainly do so. I don't go shopping to just look. If I'm annoyed, I will leave a store and buy something somewhere else. My best experience was at Bloor St. Adam at the fragrance counter made my shopping trip fun and in doing so and ended up selling me four bottles of fragrance which I had little use for other than vacation fever and money burning a hole in my pocket. The guy knew what he was talking about and he had salesmanship without being annoying or pushy. He had the sense to know I wasn't buying anything I didn't love and gave me space and time to play around and chew on things until I did find some things I loved. If every retail salesperson had his skills, retail box stores wouldn't even flinch in the face of internet competition. I don't know how much these are read, but if I were still in Toronto, I probably would have gone back today to grab that Italian Cypress I didn't think I would like on myself and ended up falling in love with. read more

I entered into this store in search of a jacket as a present after I already searched at several other stores. Even though they didn't have it in stock the staff was super friendly and the sales was so helpful. Unlike other stores that also sell high quality stuff, this store greets everyone the same even if you're dressed modestly. read more

So I have shopped here for several years I have never loved the pricing but was always intrigued by the way the staff was helpful. This opinion has since changed, i realized every single item in the store is over priced, the staff work on commission and most recently their warranty on items which they touted as amazing was anything except. I wouldn't shop here ever again, I prefer value on every single dollar I spend, loyalty and customer service are an absolute requirement when spending hard earned monies at any go to store, if the relationship is one where they look out for their interests only and actively try and deceive you than that relationship is not worth it as a consumer. Bring on Saks, bring on the american chains they know the value of a customer Harry Rosen will not survive these changes, nor will I be shopping here anymore. I gave them the choice exchange my item (I did not want the money) for a non damaged item or loose me as a customer forever, they chose to try and work me for $150.00 dollars, made my wife wait in the car for an hour and had their manager call me and lecture me on the phone. Worst Customer Service Experience I have ever had, than they blamed my increased anger towards them on me after waiting two weeks and chasing them down for an answer. Appalled! Will be posting this story in as many places as possible, shop elsewhere at the end of the day it's all window dressing at Harry's. read more

Great menswear with good quality and selection however two recent visits have convinced me never to return to the Yorkville location. The first time the sales staff was so uninformed about the shaving products but pretended she knew what she was talking about and kept trying to sell us something completely different than what we were asking for....she lost interest in us and started texting. The second visit was just as bad, the guy knew his stuff but was extremely annoying when he found out that we had purchased, in his mind, an inferior product. It's almost like he wrote us off because we did not buy the most expensive shaving brush....he failed to realize that it was a gift and we were actually trying to upgrade. I couldn't get out of the store quick enough....Yorkville suffers from a superiority complex and the Rosen store definitely lives up to the reputation. These people have to be told to get real! read more

shop in person, but never order on line.. this is a high end store with a rock basement on line service. place your order and when it comes it is usually wrong. yes not the right size, colour or even the item you ordered and yet you will be responsible for the return.. since unlike all other mail order there is no easy way to send these items back it means a trip to the post office, wraping and careing for your parcel and then paying all the return costs. harry does not care about your on line experience. so if you are not going to the store in person shop some where else. read more
