So you can imagine my excitement at finding this OPTIKO store. (Just saying it out loud is fun.) I admit I betrayed my loyal Ray-bans many a time just for a fondle of their hand crafted frames. What I love about the store is the range of products on display from Cartier and Missoni to Dita. You can easily tell the amazing craftsmanship that has gone into making these unique designs. The store itself is also beautiful, the layout is simple and it really lets the products speak for themselves. If you are fortunate enough to be a fellow four eyes, I would get myself down to Tattersalls arcade pronto!

So when I stumbled across the very new One Point Seven Four store recently I was most intrigued to see what it was all about. Expecting your run of the mill eyewear store stocking run of the mill designers I happily ate my thoughts! This place is sunglasses mecca! Brands such Podium, Marni, Dita, Sass & Bide and Cheap Monday line the walls of this funky boutique. I didn't notice any price tags, which is probably a good thing because I try to avoid heart attacks where possible. But seriously, One Point Seven Four stock incredible, unique and striking eyewear. Everything from Dame Edna like frames to chic black frames that could transport you to NYC, right in front of Tiffany's eating a croissant. It definitely exceeded my ex{spectacle}tations.

The lovely gentleman in the shop was clearly passionate about eyewear, walking me through their range of brands and frames. Most of the sunglasses were for the slightly adventurous dresser. The spectacles were more demure with lots of tortoiseshell used. Safe to say I saw about 30 pairs I wanted to call my own. They also stock Supers which are really hard to find in Australia.

I…read moresuffer from chronic allergic conjunctivitis which is completely unpredictable and leaves me very embarrassed by my appearance sometimes, not to mention incredibly itchy and sometimes painful. David has previously faxed a script over within 5 minutes to a chemist for me so that I am able to receive the necessary eye drops. He understands my issue and is always takes his time to help me. I would recommend this place to anybody who is having issues with their eyes. Also, to Julius C who has reviewed 4 other optometrists including David Stephensen and given them all 1 Star each; I don't think it's them mate, it's you.

I stoped goin after 9 month of pure rubbish mostly one lens a month. I regret goin I would never go again even if he paid me I was gullible to belive this charlatan. He also tried selling me hospital funded glasses that he keeps in an old dirty shoe box with no lid in some bottom drawer looks like glasses never get to see the light of day they looked broken old or second hand made me feel worse than I olready did especially when you can walk into a chemist and their cheapest glasses get better treatment. To DEAN P has anyone fitted you with hard contact lenses ? I wouldnt talk about things you not know mate. i seen 5+ optometrist 5+ oftalmologist 2 hospitals got photos the lenses receipts scans from else where aperantly his scaner "broke" when I was seeing him I could show them to anyone if they wish theres no reason to charging you $1800 plus $400+ glasses plus visits and not delivering the goods. there was only one optometrist I would recommend he said he couldn't doit returned my money and did not lie to me so he could keep my money. For example There are people who have been sold laser surgery to get rid of glasses and have ended up blind is that their fault huh? When other optometrist tell nothing and others tell they are rubbing on your eye causing you scaring and irreversible damage while david says nothing is that my fault? Yes it is for believing a charlatan. One mediocre review says it all
