The displays were well curated (not just whatever is trending on goodreads), and the recommendations were interesting. I spent more of my time upstairs, in the new books section, than in the used books downstairs. The staff was helpful and friendly (and also quite professional while on the phone with a man who (based on my eavesdropping) was asking if they could help him find a ghostwriter for his memoir). When they didn't have the book that I was looking for in stock, they gave me a few recommendations for other local bookstores which they thought might carry it. So excited to have a place like this within walking distance :) Looking forward to coming back.

It is pretty big and they have a lot of books, but it was crowded, making harder to browse and navigate. As far as the selection goes, it wasn't our cup of tea. Which is OK. Schedule - every day 12-7 pm , Fridays and Saturdays stays open till 8 pm which is great! You are left alone to look at books, staff here doesn't come around to bother you which is a major plus! Prices are a tad high for a used bookstore. It's worth checking it of you're in the area and you're a fellow bookworm! It has a charming, cozy feel to it.

Was about 6$ for 30 mins or 14$ for 1 hr... needless to say we spent a little more than 30 minutes browsing at the book store. They have a few very old books located next to the checkout point. Books on many hobbies and world religions as well as classics. They do have groups of reference books and thesaurus's (and while they may have been there... I noticed partial sets and only maybe 1-2 complete sets). Books are reasonably priced -- between 94 cents and 30$+. Store was pretty busy when we stopped by but that's exactly what I'd like with a used bookstore. They do accept donations and I surmise that the inventory turns over rather quickly.

The new space is even better than the old one. They are currently running a great event, "Your Own…read morePrivate Bookstore," which lets you rent the bookstore for an hour after closing on Friday evenings for a party of 5-10 people while the staff close up. The entire booking fee applies to any purchase you make as well, which I did not expect and found incredibly generous. The staff basically just let you do your thing, though are around in case anyone needs anything. Definitely a good time.

I wondered here after checking out Paige and Leaf Cafe which they are attached to. The store was crammed with interesting stuff to look at. They also have a small table in the middle of the store plus some chairs scattered around the store for seating to do some reading. I saw a sign on the door that they do events for the community and have book authors can by. They have a bargain and 20% section to save some money. It's big inside and I got lost looking at toys and reading excerpts of some books (including the Grimm Fairytales) and spent about an hour here. Overall, I appreciate the amount of variety of items they carry and I think that sets them apart from other bookstores.

The store was founded in 1882 by a group of Harvard students to make textbooks more affordable and learning more accessible. Later, MIT joined forces and the COOP is the place for students of either college to get supplies, gifts and souvenirs. I loved all the great sweaters they had.

We couldn't resist, so we took a break in action to check it out. They have a huge inventory of used, antique books. You can spend days in here hunting for books. A tad on the pricey side, but decent customer service and a great find. Worth the break!

Such a huge bookstore that has not just a wide selection of books, but also gifts that range from…read morethe quirky to traditional to Boston souvenirs. You can easily spend an entire day here looking at everything. Not a lot of places to sit, but there are a few chairs scattered about the space.
