I had the opportunity to play any sport I wanted that they had. I was pushed to learn classical music from Mr. Price, which is what I am now Majoring in University. I was a part of the first volleyball team win in school history, the creation of Science Olympiad and Jazz Band, and of course got to experience being on a State Championship Baseball team. The facilities have gotten better over the years, from a new building, to smart boards, to sound systems, etc. The arts programs are phenomenal with the choir, band, and theatre. I'd the price didn't easily double since going there, this would be a for sure lock for where I want to send me kids.

Pastor Jeff Bucknam delivered one of the best Easter sermons I've ever heard today!…read more Harvest Bible Chapel is not perfect (and no church is) and it has had a challenging past (not unlike most churches), but where it is at today is aligned with the purpose it began with... biblically centered teaching. Watch some of the sermons online and you'll see what we experience live... line by line teaching of the Bible. Pastor Jeff specifically includes relatable personal stories and while he's humble, he does not refrain from challenging the congregation and offing an unapologetic view of scripture. We are working on getting connected into a small group and would eventually like to serve, and one of the things that could be better is the connection center at the end of services. I know the team is short on volunteers, but I have had the chance to meet a few people. We also feel comfortable here because there is a little more diversity than some of the other churches in the area. There are also a ton of programs for children, both during service and throughout the year, like summer camps and youth ministries. Choosing a church is very personal and sometimes, larger congregations get a bad rap. I think that HBC is on the upswing, so stop by and check it out for yourself!

The philosophy of this church and the way in which they embrace everyone who enters is just really neat to see. We came from a huge church, searching for a closer group of folks to do life with and we found it. The teachings are relevant, biblical and man, do they sometimes really hit home. The music is great as well. Led Zeppelin, Mumford and Sons, The Avett Brothers, The National, classic hymns and more.... you really can't go wrong with the genres of music they incorporate into the services. I would love to see people let loose a little bit more but that's my own personal issue and relationship with music - don't judge. The children's church is great and the kids always leave with a verse and a cute project. They have made friends and don't pitch a fit when it's time to go - can I get an Amen?! They have volleyball teams, a wine event to benefit a great ministry, support local schools, do trivia nights and so much more.
