What a great park to stop out when coming from San Diego area back the IE. Our kids get antsy on long drives and this is always a great place to stop for a stretch and to get out of traffic. There's a large lake to walk around with ducks,geese and turtles. There's a playground with literally a super convenient bathroom right next to it. And it's surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood of cookie cutter houses. I would say the only downfall is parking can be tricky if you don't know how to parallel park read more

What a great park, it is inside a neighborhood that is very cute. They have a nice walking path and lots of ducks. A great area to pic in as well. Very friendly people and dog friendly. You can park on the street or they do have a parking lot connected. They have row boats and people do like to go fishing there. Great place to come for a date or family time. We love our walks here and getting to see the cute turtles and ducks. It never gets too crowded or loud. The people walking around are usually very friendly. The park on-site is great size for the kids and offers public restrooms. We did do the boats once and it was fun to do. Great mile walk to get outdoor and enjoy the air! read more

Perfect suburban location with ample parking on the street. I came here on an early winter morning for a walk. The main path loops you around the lake. Most of the path allows biking or skating too. Great place to walk dogs or let children run around. I would definitely visit this park again. read more

This is a very gorgeous park. I'm actually right now having a picnic here while watching the ducks having fun and also so many people with strollers and their babies and other families playing in the playground with their toddlers. Lots of people exercising around. This is a very nice loop. It's very sunny and pleasant. I was not expecting to find this wonderful lake. I was at the job assignment around the area and search on Yelp and found this perfect gem. There are plenty of trees and also there are lots of gazeebos that offer shade spaces. This is the perfect spot for a gathering, for a picnic for meeting some friends. Perfect photo opportunities. I saw couples on dates with flowers and all and I found everything so beautiful. There is some community attached to the park and the lake. They all look Nantucket style houses. So pretty and lovely. Another reason why I like Temecula and discovering all the nice things around here. read more

This park is great for the whole family as well as your pets. It has a beautiful made man lake with a fountain. There are ducks. I love ducks. The area is clean and really relaxing. You can walk all around the lake and it is great if you have your pup with you. There is a play area for kids which is super clean and never crowded. The people are nice and there is a wee store for candy. When the weather is nice it is just just a calming place to be. There is a lot of grass and you can picnic there or just sit and watch the ducks. There is also a basket ball court I am told, but I did not see it. There is also a base ball area. The restrooms are great. They are clean. There are also plenty of benches and I love that. You will like this if you have a few hours to get away from it all. read more

Such a charming area. The lake has several turtles, ducks, and fish. Just the right size to boat around and walk around. There's also a fantastic market with plenty of different delicious snacks. There a community playground. read more

Harveston is a quaint park with well maintained walkways, resting areas, and gardens which surrounds the entire lake. Frequently, people can be seen fishing, picnicking, exercising, and socializing with others. I love taking relaxing walks around the lake while admiring the many plants along the way like star jasmine, roses, orchids, etc. A great place to unwind and also be close to nature. read more

If you're looking for a place to walk your dog (or cat), this is perfect! It's family-friendly and the circumference of the lake is the perfect size for a small walk. If walking isn't your thing and you'd rather sit and relax, there are plenty of places to sit by the lake and have a picnic. Use the benches provided or sit on the grass. Just be aware that the sound of plastic opening, attracts the resident ducks. There's also a park that's great for small children. read more

It was just close to hotel we started in Temecula and came here for waking dogs. Such a lovely park and we visited there twice during our trip. My dogs love this park and tried to chase ducks(didn't let them of course) and see nice people and friendly pups. Parking is no problem on the street. Some people fish there but some rules. read more

This is a beautiful park located within Harveston planned community. It's a 17 acre park with a large duck pond and a playground. There are several gazebos located throughout the walking path. You can also rent paddle boats. Park looked clean and well-maintained during our visit. Even with so many ducks, I didn't see much duck poop. The houses surrounding this park are very nice as well. Architecture reminds me of classic American houses, but with modern twist and amenities. There are several signs with COVID guidelines but about half of the people weren't following them. I saw several parents at the playground not wearing masks or social distancing. There isn't a designated parking lot for the park. You just have to find parking around residential streets. I came with my family today (Saturday) and didn't have any problem finding parking right by the park. read more

Such a beautiful park! Honestly it's my fav! Come day or night! The Ducks are the cutest and there are plenty of picnic tables or benches to eat or relax. Try the paddle boats or just enjoy the pretty fountain views. There is a mini mart also you can stop in at to grab a drink or snack. Always a fun time at the kids playground or enjoy a walk or run. You can also bring a bike or scooter etc too! Whether stopping through the area or a local definitely a spot to spend some good o outdoor time at. read more

First time here and, boy, I feel like I've traveled from Temecula into a scene from a Nicholas Sparks novel. The lake/park is surrounded by a community of adorable, colorful homes. It is truly beautiful and relaxing and feels like a very safe neighborhood. I would definitely feel comfortable coming here by myself and jogging around the lake for a little exercise. It's also a perfect place for a date... lots of grass areas for a picnic, there is a mini-mart where you can get ice cream, and you can even rent a pontoon boat! Definitely Nicholas Sparks novel status. Kid and dog friendly, too which is always a plus. read more

It's okay, but the bathroom is DISGUSTING! Like, when I ate 2 donuts from Dunkin' Donuts, I needed to use the bathroom but then it was DISGUSTING! The bathroom has poor hygiene, there's even mosquitoes inside! I had to hold it in until I got home. The park is okay though, I like the ducks. Oh yeah, I like swing sets, but there are only toddler sized swing sets so can you add a swing set for normal sized kids? I'll rate it 5 stars if you added normal kid swing sets, if you are reading this, park warden, I'd appreciate it. Thanks for reading this if you are! read more

It's a very nice park with an artificial lake. You can run around the lake and build your miles, steps, or enjoy the ambience. It's like you're not in California and you're on a set of a Hollywood made park. Just be aware from the locals who live there, they do ask if you're from the neighborhood and treat you a little different if you're looking a bit different read more

First off thanks to YELP and yelpers for providing these great reviews for this park. Its absolutely awesome! And ALL ages park with a pond (fishing optional) also great to to take pictures here, so don't forget your camera. It's very well maintained and clean. My two year old loves the ducks and the playground. From what I saw dogs are welcome (of course please laws in affect) Boat rides are also available 2 people for $20 for 30 minutes $20 added to every 30 minutes. That's pretty pricey for my taste. I will definitely be returning to this park in the future My only downfall would be that you can't grill here read more

Beautiful park, never over crowded. However people need to stop leaving ducklings there, the older ducks attacked one some people dropped off and before could stop it.. It had sprinted to the water, I was incapable of catching it by then and It tried to go towards a group of older ducks and they kept trying to bite it and attack it.. I have no idea if it survived.. but they should put signs up educating people. read more

Great lake located in Temecula. It has beautiful walking and seating area. It is very pleasant place to be at. During the summer they have the boats for rent. I really enjoy this place just for a walk, There is also a small store but the lake for any snacks and drinks. Really beautiful and calm place. I highly recommend it to everyone. read more

I have brought my kids to this lake a few times. This time we decided to rent a paddle boat. The business does not take reservations and runs on a first come, first serve basis. It's definitely a small business and looked ma and pa-ish. But the owner and his wife were very pleasant with my family and I. We rented a boat for one hour and had a blast. After returning the boat, the owner invited us back soon and even gave me info about the larger boats for future rentals. I would recommend the paddle boating for maybe a half hour or hour at the most. read more

We drove the hour to come up from San Diego to Temecula to visit this park and spend the day with littles. Arrived at noon on a weekday, and the team was very informative about their lunch time closure and process. Check the city website. They do have great information and details there as well. I love that things were fenced off -- both around the playground and again around the splash pad -- to moderate the number of folks entering and exiting. The team working there is very kind.. keeps a good eye on the littles (parents do need to enter with the kids).. and do moderate the number of folks to avoid over crowding. This splash pad is associated with the Margarita Community park (https://www.yelp.com/biz/margarita-community-park-temecula) but the splash pad itself is listed separately with the city. I wanted to recognize the great job the team working the splash pad did. It's not huge.. but it's just right for kids up to early elementary. Mostly for the littles in attendance are of the age where they are just discovering their walking skills and can enjoy the splash of water on a hot day. The other kids weren't too crazy or rambunctious.. so I felt safe. Parents that day (weekday during school hours).. did pay close attention to their own children to keep everyone in check. There is one outdoor shower post to rinse off (the water is highly chlorinated -- or has a smell like outdoor pool water). Not much shade so definitely bring the sunscreen and hats. Recommend water shoes... even though the ground was clean and paved, the ground does get a bit toasty and it's just safer imo. They run in 55 minute increments to then shut the water off. and give the space a break and refresh the crowds. Once school lets out.. it does get more crowded in both the park and the splash pad. I believe the splash pad (as well as the surrounding park) are ADA accessible which is fantastic. I'm happy to see that all friends, of all abiliites, are able to enjoy fun time in the sun! The park is well kept and always clean. Due to the amount of mature trees in this park there is always plenty of shade no matter what time of day you are here. I can see this being great for parties but keep in mind it's street parking so it is limited on the amount of cars that'll fit. There are slides for all age groups as well as climbing areas for all difficulty levels. The disk swing in the center is a huge hit with all the kids and when more than a couple families are here there is always a line for it. One nice thing I have noticed, usually you can hear frogs chirping in the bushes. It's a really cool sound that makes you feel far outside the city and is really enjoyable:) Come check this park out for yourself, it'll quickly become a favorite!!

This park has a number of soccer fields that are well maintained. It's fun to see these young players learn good sportsmanship, engage in physical activity & develop their athletic skills while having fun. We're fortunate that Temecula has a robust parks & recreation program. We are also grateful to the coaches, who volunteer & dedicate their time to the youth soccer program. This park has held many other community events and is in a great location. Parking can be a bit tight so the game times are staggered. There are playgrounds and bridges as well as pickle ball courts. Overall it's a lovely park.

Had lunch there before heading over to the balloon festival. I posted plenty of pics so you can see the lay of the land. There are picnic tables with shade covering, and some with no covering. I also saw people sitting in the grass having a picnic lunch. There are sculptures and memorials to the US Military, and some other sculptures from Europe and beyond. Plenty of ducks and turtles walking around, or hanging out in the pond. Free parking lot. Free bathroom facility there as well. Located on a main road near the freeway.

Sam Hicks Monument Park is located at the end of Front Street in Old Town Temecula. It is a shot…read morewalk to Oldtown and you can always find parking here. The park is about 2 acres acres and has a beautiful gazebo which is a really nice place to sit and relax. There are a ton of shade trees because Temecula in the summer can get very hot. The park has nice and clean picnic tables and BBQ grills. It is not usually crowded, but use of the BBQ area can get crowded for a kid's birthday or other family event. The entire are is very clean and you can bring your dog. Keep them on a leash. The restrooms are clean and safe. The Sam Hicks Monument (designed by Hicks) is made out of a 150 ton block of white granite. The monument was designed by Hicks to honor those who came through many years ago on their way to another California area to make a life. It is lovely. There is a super nice place area for kids and they will be busy about an hour. It is not huge, but wine/grape themed and super cute. It is a great place to park, go to the park and then walk over to Old Town.
