Nice quiet park to sit at a bench. Not a lot of people so you can enjoy a sandwich and relax.

What a great park to stop out when coming from San Diego area back the IE. Our kids get antsy on long drives and this is always a great place to stop for a stretch and to get out of traffic. There's a large lake to walk around with ducks, geese and turtles. There's a playground with literally a super convenient bathroom right next to it. And it's surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood of cookie cutter houses. I would say the only downfall is parking can be tricky if you don't know how to parallel park

What a great park, it is inside a neighborhood that is very cute. They have a nice walking path and lots of ducks. A great area to pic in as well. Very friendly people and dog friendly. You can park on the street or they do have a parking lot connected. They have row boats and people do like to go fishing there. Great place to come for a date or family time. The flowers also smell amazing so it gives you a great outdoor experience

We love our walks here and getting to see the cute turtles and ducks. It never gets too crowded or loud. The people walking around are usually very friendly. The park on-site is great size for the kids and offers public restrooms. We did do the boats once and it was fun to do. Great mile walk to get outdoor and enjoy the air!

Perfect suburban location with ample parking on the street. I came here on an early winter morning for a walk. The main path loops you around the lake. Most of the path allows biking or skating too. Great place to walk dogs or let children run around. I would definitely visit this park again.

Beautiful neighborhood. It's well kept up and open to the public. Harveston has a lake, a sports park that includes a playground, baseball fields and soccer fields and plenty of grass area for just hanging out or a picnic.

This is a very gorgeous park. I'm actually right now having a picnic here while watching the ducks having fun and also so many people with strollers and their babies and other families playing in the playground with their toddlers. Lots of people exercising around. This is a very nice loop. It's very sunny and pleasant. I was not expecting to find this wonderful lake. I was at the job assignment around the area and search on Yelp and found this perfect gem. There are plenty of trees and also there are lots of gazeebos that offer shade spaces. This is the perfect spot for a gathering, for a picnic for meeting some friends. Perfect photo opportunities. I saw couples on dates with flowers and all and I found everything so beautiful. There is some community attached to the park and the lake. They all look Nantucket style houses. So pretty and lovely. Another reason why I like Temecula and discovering all the nice things around here.

This park is great for the whole family as well as your pets. It has a beautiful made man lake with a fountain. There are ducks. I love ducks. The area is clean and really relaxing. You can walk all around the lake and it is great if you have your pup with you. There is a play area for kids which is super clean and never crowded. The people are nice and there is a wee store for candy. When the weather is nice it is just just a calming place to be. There is a lot of grass and you can picnic there or just sit and watch the ducks. There is also a basket ball court I am told, but I did not see it. There is also a base ball area. The restrooms are great. They are clean. There are also plenty of benches and I love that. You will like this if you have a few hours to get away from it all.

Such a charming area. The lake has several turtles, ducks, and fish. Just the right size to boat around and walk around. There's also a fantastic market with plenty of different delicious snacks. There a community playground.

Harveston is a quaint park with well maintained walkways, resting areas, and gardens which surrounds the entire lake. Frequently, people can be seen fishing, picnicking, exercising, and socializing with others. I love taking relaxing walks around the lake while admiring the many plants along the way like star jasmine, roses, orchids, etc. A great place to unwind and also be close to nature.

Beautiful urban lake with plenty of benches and grassy areas to enjoy the lake and have a picnic. Fishing is allowed but not in certain areas and no live bait.

Love coming here! Always clean, great please to enjoy a good power walk and feed the ducks

Harveston Lake Park Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Harveston Lake Park

Is it well lit if you walk during sunset or evening?

Yes it's pretty well lit and safe!

Is the City doing anything to keep e-bikes off the Harveston Lake pathway? Signs are posted but e-bikes are on the pathway daily.

E-bikes continue to be an issue along the walking path around the lake with no enforcement of the posted signs. Kids zooming by with no concern for pedestrians!

Do they still do paddle boat rentals?

    They do not.

Can you provide a price list for the boat rentals?

It wasn't very much, I believe I paid $25-30 per hour up to three hours depending on how busy they are. If there aren't many people on their waitlist, you can rent the boat longer. But they are paddle boats and it's a small lake so the longest…

Can dogs swim in the water?

No they can't it's not for swimming

    Can you swim here?:)

    No you cant

Can you host things here, ex: baby showers?

If it's tiny and quiet, you can probably get away with it. But there isn't much room around the lake for hosting more than 10 people in a group. Also, it's pretty quiet and people are fishing so probably not the best place for loud groups or music.

Are the pedal boats closed for the summer? Does anyone happen to know the hours? Thank you

    Not closed

Can I bring my dogs on the paddle boat too?

Yes! The owner is good about that. Dogs live it.

Does anybody have the phone number to the Harveston lake boat rentals?

951-662-3141,,,call anytime,, they always answer !

Do you need a license to fish there?

The sign says you do if you're over 16 years, but I also dont think it's strictly enforced. (P.s. It's only catch and release)

    Can you grill here?

There are park style grills around the lake!

Could anyone let me know where is the best place to meet at this park?

Either by the club house, or the children's playground.

How big is this park to jog? 5 miles?

    Not 5. MAYBE 2 miles.

Very family oriented - kids fishing, families laying on the grass- there's a lot of shade which is essential for Temecula.

They closed the water area every 30 min to allow the next group of people in line in. But before they did that the lifeguards wiped down all areas of the play structures. It was a process but nonetheless the kiddos had a great time. Luckily, I had extra clothes for the grandkids to change out of, otherwise we would have to play in the dry playground while hearing and seeing the kids enjoy the Splash Pad. The playground has their rules and regulation posted on the gates. The restrooms are just outside of the play area, so very convenient. There is nice green grass in some areas and some picnic tables and stationary benches. I believe on of the rules is that you cannot set up canopy's, but I did see people set up a couple. I don't know if they have someone police the area if people are abiding by the rules. It wasn't a bother to anyone but I'm sure there is a reason for having that rule. The play area is nicely padded. The play equipment is nicely spread out where you could really view your littles as they run free with your close eye on them. There are different areas with equipment that is age appropriate. For sure I would return. Plenty of parking, it is clean and the grandkids and I love it here!
