Save yourself the trip, as of June 2025 the splash pad is "closed until further notice". If it ever opens again it's amazing! Otherwise it's just another playground.

Safe section to leash/unleash your pet, poop bags, and drinking fountain.

Came Thursday afternoon, early November, specifically for the dog park. Relatively clean so not sure if maintenance recently came by. Poop bags were provided and there's a dog height drinking fountain for the pups. Six trees looking relatively fresh so in a few years there should be more shade available. Around 60% of the grass was yellow/dead but overall not a bad spot.

During our weekly exploring of Temecula we stopped by this splash pad. The park is HUGE. There are 2 large parks on the outside of the splash pad area. There is onsite staff watching the splash pad areas. It was a little too crowded for my liking but it's summer time and hot so totally understandable.

Stopped by this park while on our way back to LA. The kids loved this park. Splash pad, jungle gyms etc.

I love this park. It's clean, has enough activities and age appropriate play structures to keep the kiddos busy. I was coming here when my kids were younger and now I come with my grandbaby.

I'm d Highly Recommend Checking It Out Been In Temecula For 1 Year Just Found this spot. Will For Sure Be Back My Son Loved It.

This place is awesome. My son loves it way better than going to the pool. He was able to meet new friends and have a great time.

The dog park here is fantastic! There are two sections- one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Each section is large enough to throw a frisbee or ball a long way for dogs to be able to run. There is also a drinking fountain for the dogs. We've been taking our pup here several times per week to get good exercise without having to be on leash.

We visited this park three times in three days -- what does that tell you?! Yes, Margarita Community Park is amazing. First of all, the splash pad. It's like a mini water park! There are so many different and fun aspects to it, and it's great for all ages. The playground is separated into a little kids area and a big kid area. The little kid play structure is truly for little kids. I sometimes visit parks where they have a slightly shorter version of their big-kid playground, and it's pretty much just as anxiety-inducing to see very young kids play on it. But this playground? The little slides are little, the steps are short and everything is made for very young kids. The big-kid area has lots of fun slides, swings, rope structures, balancing things and forts. One of the best aspects of this park is that the whole playground area is fenced. It gives you one less thing to worry about.

Ask the Community - Margarita Community Park

Is the splash pad open only weekends or during the week too?

Have you gone recently? I would like to know if the park and splash pad will be open Friday.

    Is splash pad open?

    Yes! 10-1 2-5

When does the splash water park open in spring? April 1st, 2021? Does the water come every day or weekends only?

I was there this past weekend and splashpad was open from 10-1 and 2-5.

Are there certain days the water doesn't come on during the summer? Someone said the water turns off from 1-2pm.

Everyday the splash pad closes for an hour

The splash pad is super creative with a lot of low water tables and containers for the little ones to access.

There's a 25lbs and under section and 26lbs and over section. There are actually 3 different areas. Its very big here and plenty of room for every kind of dog. The dog mommies and daddies are also friendly and take care of their fur babies' mess. I only ever got into a fight here ONE time with another dog dad. I almost beat the crap out of him bc he was so dramatic, rude and a solidified moron. He thought my 10lb dog was gonna hurt his datson puppy. This is a public space. You take your dog to the park and have to consider what comes with it. I go to this park at least 3 times a week. This is just unnecessary. Idc what people usually do, but saying something to me about it while every dog is chasing yours is just stupid. And I don't take crap. You say sumthin to me and I hope you can back up your words. I don't need my husband who was BTW just sitting in the bench on his phone. I can throw down doesnt matter who. Lololololol. When I think about this memory it makes me laugh so hard. Only when it involves my dogs or kids, the mama bear is loose! Lmao. Haha. Other than some funny experiences and great time for my dogs, this park is amazing!

She loves the water fountain; it was clean and the water was cold. I liked that there was a big dog side with two yards and a small dog side. Both were nicely maintained (as they should be since this park is closed for maintenance Wednesday mornings). It was constantly busy and a tad overwhelming for my dog; she just wanted to play with her ball but it kept getting intercepted. We'll alternate between this and Margarita Park (it's less crowded there). Plenty of parking and a big grassy area round out the benefits of this park for me. Oh, and I even saw restrooms.
