Visiting family here for the week. We are from SoCal.. This place is the CUTEST and most thoutful farm. My kids had so much fun. No shortage of things to see and activities for the kids. If I lived here, I would be brining my kids 1x/week. Nothing negative to say. Loved it all. We could have spent all day here. read more

my 85 year old neighbor wantEd a big tomato burger. So I went farm vegetable hunting. Saw the sign at Cathy's Pumpkin Patch advertising grease produce. Store is decked out in fall flowers the tomatoes big and beautiful. We had to best big tomato burger. Thanks Cathy. read more

Prices were ridiculous, they now charge parents to go in and monitor their kids. About $13 per person. Kids under 2 or 3 were free but parents would pay to go in to watch. The lady at the register also told us they dont let you pick the pumpkins from the patch because the have gotten too big. We will not be returning. read more

Harvestville Farm is a 5th generation farm located in the heart of farm country in rural Southeast Iowa. Throughout the spring & summer months our farm features a variety of items ranging from plants, annuals, seeds, fresh garden veggies, local fruits, Farm to Table Dinners and Home and Garden Decor. In September and October our 40 acres of pumpkins, squash and gourds turn our farm into a harvest haven along with two large play areas for families of all ages to enjoy, a 10 acre corn maze, wagon rides and special fall events. In November our farm transforms once again into a winter wonderland that features fresh cut trees, wreaths, roping, gift items and arrangements up until the Christmas holiday.

Meet the Business Owner: Adam H.

Back in 1994, Adam started a small FFA project for high school, by raising a few pumpkins. He began his project by growing two or three short rows and sold the pumpkins from a wagon on an "honor system" in the front yard of the farmstead. in 2004 we took a giant leap of faith, planted five acres and began to sell them from the farmstead that fall. Our little "pumpkin business" began to really take off and we quickly realized we loved interacting with our customers during those few weekends in the fall. A common thread was immediately noticed among all of our customers: a growing desire for an authentic rural experience. So, in 2006 after leaving a management and a teaching position behind in St. Louis, Adam, Julie, and Kathy, decided to take the "pumpkin business" head on. Since then and after following the guidance of our customers, we have expanded from a fall focused business, into a three season operation and has since become one of the LARGEST pumpkin patches in Iowa.
