Playground is large, lots of different levels. Multiple slides, climbing structures, bridges, animal statues to explore. They have a zipline and swings (multiple types). Along with the park they have a skate park, pump track and gated soccer area. Multiple open grass fields as well. When visiting the splash pad was still under construction as workers seemed to be sealing the concrete. It looks like it's almost done. It will be cute boat style splash pad. Lots of shaded table areas, multiple bathrooms and drinking fountains.

Brons gets reps and more traditional training at his team's practices, but at LEUB he gets more focused and specialized fundamental work. Can't wait to see where he's at after a full year with LEUB. Tanner also shows genuine interest in the kids he coaches and you can feel that he wants each one to succeed, but he also expects them to put in their full effort.

And the Pleasant Grove Community Center has it all...or mostly. It's a fairly large facility that offers just about everything that you'd expect in a community rec center-except an indoor pool. I visited last night to walk the track (it is too cold for me to walk in the evening around the park, like I might usually do) and I noticed that there were signs on the doors saying that masks were required, but almost nobody was wearing them inside. There were posters all along the walls advertising fun events (chess clubs, hiking groups, gymnastics, etc.). This seems like a fun place, and if I lived closer, I'd likely buy an annual membership. But since I was just in the area temporarily, I likely will stick closer to home.

The program has certainly gone down hill since then. -The coaches provided no guidance or instruction. - The coaches had no real training program for the kids, they would just cycle through a couple of strokes without any other practice. - Despite repeated email and in person requests our kid never got the swim cap nor t-shirt that was supposed to come with the program.

Today, me and my kids wanted to play basketball in the gym. Many of the hoops were much lower than 10 feet. Not a big deal. we went and talked to a couple of the girls behind the desk to ask them to raise the hoops so that we could play basketball at regulation height. One of the girls stood up to talk to me and said, "no, I think all of the hoops are at the right height. " I responded and said, "no, many of them are around seven or 8 feet. They should be at 10 feet. "She looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said no I believe we can't adjust the height of the hoops. I realize that maybe I was speaking to someone who had only worked there for a little while and maybe didn't know the rules or the procedures around raising and lowering the hoops. So I said, "I believe we can raise the hoops and you can use that tool (pointing at the tool by her) to raise them. If you get a chance, please help us raise one of these hoops to 10 feet. " I thought that I was really nice and respectful. What happened is nobody ever came out to help us raise the hoops to 10 feet they just sort of ignored our request. Not the end of the world, we still love this place. But I hope in the future, the staff is trained and able to assist in these types of things.

The walls and baseboards are in need of repair and the metal chairs' seats slope downward and were so uncomfortable. It was a tough hour watching the basketball game because the chairs were so awkward and some even bent up. But on the plus side, It is conveniently located off the freeway in Lehi in a neighbor and there's ample parking.

It is ran by a husband and wife team (Tim & Crystal Huang). They charged a non-refundable $25 fee for basketball tryouts & we gave it a shot. Hundreds showed up. Seems all kids made a team level. They promise you an elite program but fall short. Business acumen is just not there. In just a couple short months we shelled out over $500 with little to no return; playing time or constructive learning. Monthly dues are $135/mo; not including uniform, tournament, league fees. Our child made the highest level team, but it was a mess. We lost half our team in 2 mos. as parents left. They have you sign a year long contract and are unafraid to threaten parents with attorneys & fees. It's just not worth it. Skills trainings are one size fits all approach & crammed with over 30 to 40 kids. We also got an unpaid coach who was tasked with coaching more than one team in exchange for freebies for him and his child (who also played on our team). We found a better team to play on w/o paying $135+ monthly fees.

However, the goals are just painted poles with numbers attached. This park is perfect for playing sports, hosting a family reunion, eating a picnic, or resting in the shade on a Sunday afternoon. It's also a fun area to walk around, as there are 2 bridges over the stream, and the Cedar HIlls Parkway Trail runs right through it. It's nothing to be utterly amazed by, but it's a nice park for what it's worth.
