The walls and baseboards are in need of repair and the metal chairs' seats slope downward and were so uncomfortable. It was a tough hour watching the basketball game because the chairs were so awkward and some even bent up. However, spending 30 minute of a 50 min class in warmups is not okay. Also, children running and screaming rampant throughout the facility both upstairs and downstairs in the waiting/viewing area is annoying! I feel they focus more on the competition cheer side of classes rather than other classes they offer. It feels like anything other than cheer is an after thought. My daughter is in the gymnastics classes and hasn't learned anything new and coaches aren't teaching them proper technique. Our old gym focused on proper form and technique, classes were smaller and/or had two coaches to help students. I don't expect my daughter to be a champion gymnast by any means, but I would like her to learn how to do a cartwheel, a proper handstand, the vault, p-bars etc.

Yes, 3 year old kids can be nightmares (and mine is no exception), but receiving a TEXT from the teacher saying he couldn't return after only 2 days seems absurd. I asked her if he could have another chance. NO. I asked if I could observe the class and his behavior. NO. I asked if there was anything else I could do because I had to work from home and I depended on those 3 hours to get work done. NO. My experience with the school was entirely unprofessional and disappointing. There was ABSOLUTELY clear favoritism shown to some students versus others when I would drop off and pick up, which was very frustrating to see. A side note: Children often act out when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe in a situation. Obviously I wasn't there during the class, but I think that is something to think about when choosing a preschool for your own child.

The La Petite staff has always been extremely accommodating with my schedule with my son. Sometimes he needs to go extra when I have him over spring or over fall break and they have always been willing and able to work with me. I cannot say how nice that is! Along with the schedule, my son genuinely looks forward to going to preschool/daycare. He wakes up in the morning and asks, "Can I go to school now?! I don't want to miss Ms Linda." (Who is his absolute favorite) I'll admit, after a few changes in ownership over COVID I was really worried about what would happen. However, I have been extremely impressed by all of the staff members at La Petite Academy in East Lehi. They genuinely care and love my son. They serve healthy (but yummy!) meals, have a clean atmosphere and have amazing curriculum that makes school fun and a good environment for learning. I don't have anything negative to say. I never had an issue with them or saw staff doing any mean stuff to the kids. (They have live streaming). Now I moved to SLC and comparing with SLC academy, they were far better and passionate about what they doing. From director Tony to toddlers & infants staff, every one was awesome!!
