I needed another snack and Harvey's is just northeast of Hwy 401 at Morningside Ave. Harvey's is paired up with Swiss Chalet and accessed via the same main entrance; left for Harvey's, right for Swiss Chalet. The special of 2 original Harvey Hamburger for $6 was my meal choice. With the COVID-19 situation, customers have to decide on the burger toppings from a list posted before paying for the order. Honestly I'm not too pleased with this location. I know that since it's a little older, it's been a while since they last made some updates, but one thing I really wish they would do is upgrade their drive thru intercom. I tried ordering a couple of times, and each time the employee had a lot of difficulty hearing me. I came here on a friday night around 5:30pm and was in the middle of dinner rush in the drive thru, so I tried my very best to be patient and understanding, but it's still a little frustrating when your order is still wrong. I ordered 2 regular pepsis, 1 diet pepsi & 1 ice tea. Unfortunately we received 4 regular pepsis. This is really frustrating because I have a diabetic in my family and they cannot drink the regular pepsi. By the time we realized the mistake, it was already too late. A welcoming establishment to grab a quick bite to enjoy there, or to enjoy on the go. Friendly staff, great food, and plenty of seating in comparison to other similar restaurants. Their tables were clean and cleaned immediately after customers left in preparation for next customers. In comparison to the negative degree weather of winter, the restaurant was warm with a blasting heater. The ordering process was smooth, the staff tested the shake machine when I ordered a Oreo shake. It was sadly broken but I'm glad they tested it before charging for it. What's great is after I finished ordering they immediately had staff try to fix it for future customers, instead of waiting forever to fix it like other known fast food franchises. The burger was great, it wasn't very filling, but was great as a quick lunch leaving a satisfying taste in the mouth. The meat wasn't dry and the bun wasn't hard or crumbly. The fries were great, they were salty, crispy, and warm. They come in their own recyclable and compostable containers which you can take with you if you don't finish them all. In comparison to the rumours and known reputation of Harvey's, as someone who's never been, this was a great first experience. read more

I've always liked Harvey's for the strong grill flavour and complete customization of their combos. You can order ahead on the mobile app (no order available through the website) and pick up in the drive through, super convenient! Harvey's has a veggie burger. It is the Lightlife Plant-Based patty which you can get in grocery stores. It still picks up the that flame-grilled taste and the texture is pretty realistic. We waited in the drive through a long time. There were only 2 cars ahead of us but it felt like we waited forever. It seemed like they were super rushed because the burgers looked like they were thrown together very messily. Toppings falling out, sauces squirting out, and really greasy wrappers. Local Harveys is pretty decent, it is also connected to a Swiss Chalet. Usually I pass by for a quick burger, and they are usually clean, fast, and friendly. Place does get busy since people know this. They offer the Scene points as well when you buy, so make sure to have it with you in order to get those free movies peoples! Ordered the Family Pack Fried Chicken with 4 sides at $39.99. Sides chosen were 3 salads and French fries; the sides were contained inside a 3' x4' take-out containers.... hardly any salad inside them. The fried chicken was neither crispy nor moist! We waited for our order 20 minutes thinking it would be really fried FRESH! They looked and tasted like the chicken were sitting under food warmers! KFC tastes better! This is a standard Harvey's but with staff who don't care and seem to hate their jobs. I ordered the Angus and got burnt buns. When I told them I wanted buns that weren't toasted black, they only changed the top of the bun and the bottom was still burnt. The manager and cashier are ruthless as they let me wait in line for minutes before letting me know they were ready to take my order. They kind of just ignored me as I was right in front of the till and waiting for the man the take my order. Food is standard. But service is definitely below standard. read more

This location has to have the slowest drive though I have ever seen. Today's cost was 9 minutes from the time I finished placing the order till it was in my hands. There was one car in front of me as I pulled to the window so I didn't even have to wait to place my order. If there was more than one car, I'm sure you could add 8-10 min per car. Fries were already Luke warm by the time I got them. Obviously I sampled. I love the burgers at Harvery but always regret going to this location. read more

This is the closest Swiss Chalet/Harvey's to us so we order from here often. Twice now in the past week they have waited 30+ minutes to confirm an online order before cancelling without a reason. Tonight eventually we just had to go there after they cancelled another online order, and they still got the order wrong. Its ridiculous how slow they are as well, as I often have to wait 20 minutes in the drive thru which is supposed to be faster and more convenient than going in. Out of all fast food chains, this one is my fav for burgers. It is always so fresh and juicy. I've never had a bad burger here before. And I love love their poutine. I love it even more than places that specialize in making poutine. It has a rich gravy and the fries are soft. They give lots of cheese curds and it melts very well. My one complaint is that going through the drive thru here will kill a quarter tank of your gas. Because it's connected to Swiss chalet they take forever. So if you don't want to waste time then I would suggest going in the restaurant. read more

Worst Harvey's ever! I ordered 3 hot dogs and told them I had a coupon 2 for $4. And I'd pay for the extra one. I waited about 5 minutes just in the drive true waiting to pay and there was only one other car. Then I waited another 5 minutes because they charged me for all 3 hot dogs at regular price even though I gave them the coupon. Then the lady only gave me 2 hot dogs and I asked her where the 3rd one was and she said I only charged you for 2. In the end she ended up getting it right but it took forever! read more

This Harvey's restaurant requires attention. A lot of attention. As a franchise it is really bad and does not compare to many of the various Harvey's restaurants I've been to. Service is poor and staff do not seem to care or have pride in working at this location. The restaurant is really run down. There door glass has been broken for the past year and has never been fixed. The drive through service is poor and staff do not seem to give a hoot how long you wait. You drive up to the ordering speaker and they make you wait for at least 10 mins. The are only 2 cars ahead of you and on 3 occasions I've waited 40 minutes to get to the pickup window. Once there the worker has to lift/pull the window which does not seem to work and has been that way for the past 2 years. They shove the interact to you and then you have to hold after processing your payment while they are working inside. They then get your order incorrect. Don't they understand what an "apple pie" is? I get home and I have a blueberry / cream filled pie which I then throw out. read more
