Newly opened, you might be forgiven to miss the Rosebud Vintage Bazaar and I discovered it when I stopped to get a coffee from the shop at the front. There's heaps to see and try on, each stall has their own specialities but the common thread (get it? Haha) is the vintage threads, and men and women are well represented here although most of it is for women. There's all sorts of curios in between the racks of clothes and all around, where the stall owners have taken pride in curating and displaying their wares. From a garment point of view, I reckon they had some pretty great finds when I was there, although that changes all the time. Each stall may have a display cabinet clearly labeled and if something inside strikes your fancy, just let the lovely ladies at the front counter know which cabinet it is and they will gladly assist you. Kinda like the Chapel St Bazaar. But unlike it, there's still room to move around in each stall without worrying about bumping something off a shelf and the staff are simply lovely and friendly. Clearly, they love vintage and anyone who loves vintage. You'll also find furniture items as well as lots of retro and vintage kitchenalia. Pricing seems just right for most of the items on sale here, and different from other places here you'll feel like the owners do want to sell them and not just display them. I hate it when they just don't seem to want to sell you something yet are in the business of selling! You won't find that attitude here in Rosebud. I saw some Pyrex Mixing bowls just like what mum has and I might go back and get them soon. They sure don't make them like they used to.

Now the Commonwealth Bank has moved to the plaza, it's better for people who goes to the bank and then goes shopping or buys a coffee or some lunch. Also, the plaza has a nice beach across the road and camping sites.

What would we do on our weekends if you didn't exist?…read moreNewly, well almost a year old now, purpose built location several metres down from its older premise, this Bunnings packs a punch and is always buzzing with activity during the week and definitely the weekends. It's a full range store, with a trade area attached to it. Sausage sizzle on every weekend shows the involvement and support of its local community. Now who can resist that?! I usually hit up this place for its comprehensive garden and plant range. What's nice is that the outdoor garden centre also has two checkouts and a entry/ exit so you can wheel your trolley of mulch, dynamic lifter, pots and plants straight out to your parked car just right outside. The staff are always on hand, cheerful and ever ready to answer your questions or direct you to the next best person who can. It's a nice seasonal indication too, you'll know just by looking at what's on offer in abundance, indicating the coming season and every time you visit there's bound to be something on special. This store also has a small cafe and playground towards the end where outdoor furniture meets garden centre is. As you would expect, things are well laid out and sign posted although as its a huge, huge store, I usually just ask the staff specifically where the things I'm looking for are. Whilst Bunnings is strictly not high-end, majority of the products are of very high quality and you do get named brands as well. This place, continues to bleed me dry on the weekends! How could you not buy at least something when you come here?!
