We went down there tonight as part of a Purple Cow and Splashifax Colab with Hatfield Farms... It's been awhile since I've been out to Hatfield Farms and I felt bad about that .. as I had a great time the last time I was there..what a beautiful location ..the staff were available to help get us down to the water park ..hope to get back to do the petting zoo when it's open... What a family friendly place! We went to the family cowboy round up and it was phenomenal. We went to the petting zoo and enjoyed the donkey, llama and goats. We took a sleigh ride to the little village and what a blast. Everything was kid friendly, (keep in mind we just went ourselves without children) and there was a mechanical bull, boxing, 'qtip' fighting and a bouncy castle. It the restaurant part we enjoyed unlimited hot dogs, amazing hot chocolate and beverages next to two real fire places, pool tables and a disco ball! The staff were friendly and without a doubt always there to direct us, the facilities were lovely and clean. It was an over all fantastic time. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone - especially if you have kiddos! read more

This Spring I went to Hatfield farms as part of a family reunion. Upon our arrival, we were taken by horse and wagon to a large barn where we were served a delicious roasted chicken dinner. We then spent the night drinking and playing many games and activities including Boxing (with gigantic rubber boxing gloves), Gladiator, and Bulling Riding. Everyone had a fantastic time. The staff were overly friendly and there was more than plenty to do. Hatfield is definitely a place I recommend anyone going for a reunion, birthday, Jack & Jill party, or other special event. read more

I recently went to Hatfield for a work team building function. I have gone there in the past for other party type celebrations and have always enjoyed myself. It is truly a beautiful spot to visit, especially if you like horses. I could go on a wagon ride for hours - it is more than amazing. The day we went it was raining quite bad. I was quite surprised that they put a canopy over us on the wagon ride to keep us from getting wet. The inside is beautifully decorated and the dark wood just adds the perfect touch to the setting. The staff are amazing. I will always be a huge fan and will continue to visit! read more

My partner and I stopped in to Hatfield Farm to inquire about a wedding venue. The lady on the desk was quite rude to say the least. When I asked her if their website had pictures of the venue her response was " I don't know I'm already married" as she held up her hand showing us her wedding ring!! I thought that was quite bizarre. We left and they lost out on our business. read more

Bride, Parents and Event Planners BEWARE! I myself have not directly dealt with this company but a co-work, a friend of the family and client of mine have. All three people have had horrible problems with customer service, food, being told one thing and doing the other. They say 'all you can eat hotdogs' but in reality when they run out (they only put a small amount out) you have to go find someone track them down to get more. By the time that happens your on to your next activity. When my co-worker called 2 weeks before to find out when she could decorate they said she wasn't allowed to go in before hand. This is NOT stated in the contract so be careful of that!!! My co-worker said that this wasn't in the contract and said this was a little ridiculous, asking if she could go in just her self or even have staff decorate, the women said and i quote ' you are not listing to me!'. First of all, yelling at a paying customer and then saying they are not listing? WOW. They WONT allow you to decorate before the party, not even 5 minutes before. So my co-worker had to decorate her daughters birthday, missing half of the party herself. She then went to their Facebook and wrote a review explaining what the whole experience was like, what happened and why she was not pleased. They did reply, but they replied and turned around and blamed my co-worker. Saying SHE was the one being irate with there employee. I have NEVER seen someone blame a customer, let alone on social media. Now Hatfield did delete her comment on there Facebook but we screen shotted the whole conversation for reference. They need to start updating their reply tactics or pretty soon its going to be out of Business. read more

Hatfield Farms is an awesome spot for an event, especially if you're looking for something fun for all ages. I went with my school student association for an end of year party, and while it took a while to get everyone signed in, there was tons to do to pass the time; be it taking to the small playground or looking at the animals that were out. A short time later they loaded the lot of us into carts for a ride down to the lodge, where they served up an amazing chicken and rib dinner (although there were some other options too). Both were seasoned just right, with meat that fell right off the bone. Talk about perfection! After the meal (and a delicious apple pie), it was time for socializing and fun! They opened up the "Rubber Rodeo", which of course people gravitated to; but regardless where you went, it was clear they put their all into making it a great night. A last minute invitation led me to Hatfield Farms last night for Chaharshanbe Suri (Persian Festival of Fire) and great outdoor fun. The staff was super friendly and there were lots of animals (and animal smells) to let you know you were indeed on a farm. It was also a short drive from the city, the buses that transported us back to the party were timely, the music was loud on the dance floor, and the stars were so bright I felt like I wasn't near a city at all! The bus was like being in a time machine back to elementary school - wheel wells in the center seats and those perfect, bumpy rides in the back. The highlight of the festival is jumping over burning fires (fun!) and I find it has similarities with the theme of our New Year's resolutions. Jumping over the fire symbolizes letting go of past sickness and infusing ourselves with the fire's red, positive energy for the future. It looked like there were lots of other things normally available when we wandered around: bull riding, gladiator wrestling, jumpy castles. And who knew Hatfield Farms offers itself as a wedding venue?? I hear the rate for rental was reasonable for the group at $18 per person. I guess this place has it all! I didn't get the full experience of Hatfield last night and I've had some less than inspired "sleigh" rides here in the past, but I would recommend it to you for some good semi-country fun. read more

Hatfield Farms offers a variety of attractions, including a petting zoo and horseback, sleigh and wagon rides. They even offer party and wedding packages. I went trail riding here a couple of years ago and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and personable, as well as helpful (it was my first time on a horse...didn't turn out to be my favourite activity ever, but they were very encouraging). I've never been to a function at this location, but I have heard wonderful things from people who have attended parties or weddings here. It sounds like they really go that extra mile to make their events special and their guests feel welcome and satisfied. Bonus: they have llamas. Not sure if this will matter to anyone besides someone who mysteriously loves llamas like me, but they do. That is all. read more

When I was in high school my soccer team went to Hatfield Farms in Hammond's Plains for a Christmas party. When we arrived we were bundled up in blankets and taken in a horse drawn sleigh to a large recreation hall. The hall was home to a ton of physical challenges and we were entertained for hours by the mechanical bull ride, gladiator games and fed from a winter barbecue. It was a great party and all the staff at the farm were really pleasant. We didn't get to try out all the attractions at the farm, there is also a mini golf course and a petting zoo. Overnight accommodations are available as well by cabin, bunkhouse, or tent site. Hot Hint: Hatfield Farm also does birthday parties and pony rides for kids! I had my first Hatfield Farm experience today. A friend and I both used to ride in our younger years and have been itching to get back in the saddle lately, so we booked a one hour trail ride. I've been by the farm a hundred and one times but have never actually stopped in. We were greeted in the office so we could sign in and fill out the standard waivers. We were then greeted by our guide (for the life of me I cannot remember her name, but she was great!) and were taken to get on the horses and head out on our ride. The ride was good. It was customized slightly to our preferences and experience level. It was just nice to be in the saddle wandering through the woods. It is important to note that all the animals on the farm appeared happy and healthy. The 3 horses we had out today were all fuzzy and chubby and seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were also perfect gentlemen out on the trail. They were happy to plod along behind one another. If you are looking to spend sometime out in nature but don't want to travel too far from the city consider a trail ride at Hatfield Farm. They're also kid friendly so are great for a family outing. They also host corporate functions and weddings, so if you're looking for a unique venue give them a shout! We both look forward to going back again to take in another trail ride once the weather is a bit nicer. read more

My trip to Hatfelid Farm, was spur of the moment, I had a friend visiting from Korea, and always wanted too go on a horse and sleigh ride. So we went The only "adventure" they had to offer on Saturday, was their Family Package, which include the sleigh ride, games in their "Rubber Room" and all you can eat hot dogs, estimated as a two hour adventure for $14.00. The tour included mostly families with young children, some couples, but we didn't care, the horse and sleigh pulled up, we got on board covered up in the available blankets, and we were off down the trail to "Fort Clayton" Granted this package was designed for children, everyone partook in the games, the all you can eat hotdog was a fun snack as my friends and I took advantage to see how many hot dogs we could eat! I highly recommend this tour for families with children 5 and up. I will go back to Hatfield farm to take part in more adult oriented adventures, but as a spur of the moment Saturday adventure it was fun! and if you have time after your trip, they have a small petting zoo, but beware the goats are VERY well trained to respond to the click- clank of the corn feeder, and are very quick on their feet! read more

This is a negative review of Hatfield Farm as a wedding venue. I contributed to a wedding there recently and must say I was disappointed by the controlling and non flexible attitude of the event coordinator. We were told we pay the big bucks to them to make the wedding run smoothly. We were down to the 11th hour trying to decide on finger foods which were exorbitantly marked up. We were told we could not bring in perishable food because they were a restaurant but we could bring in a wedding cake that was a perishable???? Make sense? Also the event coordinator controlled all aspects of the wedding with her wanting us to use the DJ as the MC. The DJ is past his prime and screwed up royally by choosing the wrong song for the father/daughter dance. In that song was the voice recordings of the deceased father. The moment was ruined and the family was devastated by that. It was a simple tasking. So much for paying the big bucks to make the wedding run smoothly. Also, the music that was played was better suited for a seniors home or small town firehall dance. l read more
