I ordered a hat from here that was incorrectly sized. Customer service said that if it was incorrectly sized that they would refund the shipping charges. However, they did not keep their promise. I would not recommend this company as you have to pay shipping both ways even if the issue is with their quality control. read more

Hatland is incredible. They have a good variety of sports hats that would be more expensive online. Its a good opportunity to get a hat if you're a fan of an out of market team. i should have checked reviews first before continuing to order from hatland. the reviews here about the awful awful awful customer service is 10000000% true. they sent me an incorrect hat so i emailed them about it only for the email rep to insist that it is the correct hat (passively aggressive af). fyi i ordered a 100% wool raiders hat with the white snap and i got a polyester hat with a black one. how's that the same thing?? anyway, as i've read the reviews looks like there is no hope of returning this especially because i am from the other side of the world. tough luck. read more

Yeah.. don't purchase from there. Got my dad a size 7 and it was wayyyy to big for him plus from the inside looks like it's been worn . Very old school way of offering people directions on returning items back plus they don't give full refund back. Tucked away in the back of the Gold Coast Mall, this hat shop offers a lot of variety in a relatively small space. My husband likes to stop each year and pick out a new hat for our favorite NHL team, and I am always pleased with the options - there have always been at least 5 styles for him to choose from, often many more. The teams and schools are not always grouped together, so you can ask one of the helpful staff if you are looking for something (or somewhere) in particular. I've been a customer of this store for years . I discovered their website when I lived in Pennsylvania . Order 3 hats, they ship them to you for free. Then I learned they were based out of my hometown of ocean city . One of the best things to happen to the eastern shore! Customer service is top notch both online and in person . The quality of the hat (new era) seemed to be good, but site had misrepresentations on size and customer service was lousy. I need a big hat size 8. Based on sizing chart I ordered a size 8'that was to be 64cm. The hat came size 8 - 63.5 yes the .5 makes a difference fine print on site says all charts are estimates and Hatland is not responsible for those chart estimate differences. So basically it's their site but they're not responsible. I tried to work an exchange for another hat for my team that was 64cm or more but they weren't willing to check they're stock, I just had to choose from they're stock using a chart I couldn't trust. I would have been happy with a same MLB team exchange and said so to customer service via email. And all communication is by email, no phone calls- making returns harder. I was buying the team had for a trip to an MLB game. I went to MLB.COM and ordered a NEW ERA hat I could trust the size. It came, I went the trip all good. i returned the Hatland hat after my trip. They rejected it and returned the hat to me after opening (using my postage) saying it was past 30 days and the hat was worn. other than trying it on it was never worn and all tags intact. I even wrote a note and printed out my emails to them. i will never buy from HATLAND again and suggest that others not either. They represent THE WORST of buying on-line. read more

I used to love the fact that shipment was fast & quality was worth the price but now, NO WAY will I continue to purchase from Hatland ... I placed my order on April 12th, I recvd my hats on April 28th (NFL DRAFT DAY) after 5p ... I inquired about the hats on the 23rd or 24th & they told me that the post office lost my shipment ... I work for the post office so I asked for the tracking number, they sent me a copy of the receipt, no tracking info ... I again asked for tracking info & when they finally sent it, the info stated that the label was just created the day I asked for it ... they never sent the so called original tracking info but quick to blame the post office ... no integrity, poor service, I'm taking my money elsewhere ... I dealt online and ordered a few baseball caps for Xmas gifts for family. Unless you have never ordered a hat before, I found it a pretty good experience. They have a lot of baseball teams with a lot of dead stock from the past couple seasons, prices seem fair if you know what you are looking for. I would suggest you already know your cap size if you order Fitted, save you some hassle. I haven't had to deal with a human yet but if you know ball caps this a solid online ordering shop. Lids? customer service is garbage. horrible repsonse time (4 days, really?). and dont even think about returning a hat if it went on your head at all, unless you have your head wrapped in saranwrap first. AND they charge you for shipping, AND they require customers to pay for return shipping (dont even bother trying re my sentence above), AND they charge you AGAIN if you try to return a hat and its not to their liking. Their whole return policy is very trickily phrased so you dont know if they will or wont accept a return. They will say "oh yeah no problem, you can return a hat for refund" but i guarantee 100% they will not accept your return. That is unless you return a hat without even touching it (still a maybe) or you are wearing a hazmat suit while trying it on. Dont bother with this company. you can get every single had they sell from other online retailers with clear and honest return policies that the company acutally stands by. read more

Another crooked company that has all the niceties of customer service, but is just out to cheat you out of your money. I returned a cap the day after I received it; and got an email from "Customer Service" acknowledging they received it and promising to issue a credit refund within 7-10 days. Of course, no refund was issued, so I had to dispute the charge with the bank. This is the new American way of doing business, folks -- squeeze something out of every chump who does business with you, even if it's just holding someone's money wrongfully for a few extra days or weeks. But make sure to placate the customers you're cheating by sending them emails making them think you're responsive. read more

Poorly manufactured fake merchandise. Beware of their return policy, it's specifically designed to prevent them from every having to process a return. No concept of customer retention, or customer satisfaction. I was a loyal customer, ordering from them a few times over the years. The one time I have some difficulty with my order, I reach out to them for help. They couldn't care less since they already got my money. They would rather lose a customer, and generate negative reviews over $25. Companies that operate with that mentality should be avoided at all costs. read more
