I used to think Haughton Middle School was a great school but lately it has been made clear that it is not. Some of the teachers are really great but administration lacks confidence in them to make simple decisions regarding the children in their class. They punish children for having to use the bathroom by giving them lunch detention then say that it is not a punishment. I'm not really sure how anyone can confidently claim detention isn't a punishment, but here we are. I would definitely recommend sending your kids to one of the better schools in the area. If your kids are already attending Haughton, local pediatricians will write a school excuse to allow children to use the bathroom without punishment.
