Had a great time on the golf cart ghost tour! We went during the day, so it wasn't super spooky, but our guide, Jess, made it memorable. As a local, she knew so much about the town's history and shared fascinating stories as we stopped by some of the island's best highlights. This is by far the best haunted tour on the island. (Ignore the fact that it's the only haunted tour on the island.) Chuck gives a wonderful history of the island and the various spirits and ghosts. I suggest watching him on the Haunted Catalina episode of Ghost Hunters prior to the tour. That way you can see the interior of the casino as that is not part of this particular tour. Hopefully that can be added or made a separate tour. Keep in mind this is about 1.5 hours of walking so bring good shoes and rest up. But if a 76 year old Chuck can do it there isn't an excuse for the rest of you. read more

This was pretty bad. Our guide (Chuck) was rambling and strange. The owner was rude to people who were late, but the email confirmation all say to meet at 121 Clarissa, however they text and say to meet at the pier. Chuck is awkward and made the kids uncomfortable or anyone who needed to step away, he would pause the whole tour and ask pointed questions instead of just rolling with it. I believe in ghosts and spirits but these stories were just kind of dumb. Apparently he was on some TV show telling these stories, but I can't imagine which one it was because none of the stories were cohesive or cogent. read more

This was SO FUN! Jess was a wealth of knowledge and history of the island. I learned so much that I never had known in the last 20 years of coming here every summer. I had so much fun on this walking tour! We learned all kinds of Catalina history through paranormal stories all while using EMF readers ourselves and watching them light up in notable places! The best part was literally three times random people came up and said their own ghost stories or further backed up what the tour guide was saying. This tour is a healthy mix of information and legends of the Catalina. Chuck is so nice as to include several personal stories of what he has witnessed. He will end the tour in a good note and be open to the barrage of questions that you may have. I love the way the tour was presented, because like any credible source he will explain his own research, but will also give you breadcrumbs to go into your own rabbit hole research. Chuck Liddell was awesome! He came five minutes early for the tour and took us on a walk around the island to certain spots were ghost activity has been reported. he is the island's historian so he is very knowledgeable about the island. he ensures credibility and provided us with many resources and people we can confirm his information with. the walking aspect of it is not challenging or tiring at all. he is in his 70s or 80s still walking around so it is accessible for all ages. the tour lasted a little over an hour and is well worth the price (25$)! the tour isn't scary at all and you won't get scared if that is what you are looking for. Chuck just tells you about the different encounters with ghosts at the exact spot where it was reported. you'll learn so many interesting things about the island and it's history definitely recommend! read more

The tour guide Chuck Liddell is actually the island's historian so he knows the ins and outs of just about everything and can answer virtually any question regarding the island.
