I went here a few years ago and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was really scary and so much fun, the lines were a little long but well worth it. I went tonight and it was awful. Nothing about it was scary at all. We got shoved into groups of up to 15 and it lade the experience awful. You could hear and see jump scares from the front of the line so you were never scared. THE LIGHTS IN THE ACTUAL HAUNTED HOUSE WERE SO BRIGHT. WHY! Last time it was pitch black and you literally had to feel your way through the maze. The front person held a glow stick for light and that was about it. It was pretty bad. Bad waste of money. I had fun with my friends but it's a huge waste of money. Do not go. read more

I did not even know this existed in Memphis! What a shame, because it has been around for awhile. Tucked away off Perkins, just south of the 240 loop it sits in what was a huge Toys R Us. As of the time of this review it contains four haunts, one stand alone and the other is a three in one. ALL are fantastic! For $30 you get admission to one haunt but for a mere $5 more you get all four, so why wouldn't you do that? In fact for $15 more you get VIP line access to all four, which on a busy night would be totally with it! They make a conscious effort to distribute patrons between the two cues so wait time is minimized but of course on a busy night you could wait for a bit if you choose GA. Regardless, these are worth the wait. These are theater quality sets, with well trained acting staff, and professional makeup. We chose the behind the scenes tour for $70 per ticket which included VIP access to all four haunts, once we finished and the lights went out. I didn't know what to expect, but Ethan, who is the creative director, gave us our tour and it was also fantastic! We arrived about two hours prior to lights out with the tour start time scheduled to start at around 1.5 hours prior to lights out. Ethan started early and went long! We toured the main haunt and were shown things like how the scare boxes worked, the lighting, how the sets were built, he talked about the mechanics behind the sets, we saw makeup and costuming as the actors were getting ready as well as the workshop. He also walked us through the other three haunts albeit with less detail as opening was approaching! I'd been through professional haunts before so I knew they were high quality but I had absolutely no idea how much went into producing and running one! Very impressive. The tour is well worth it but at the very least you need to experience their work. Parking is good, well lit, monitored by MPD, security is employed starting in the parking lot so, while we went in the back door and bypassed all that, I could tell it was super safe. read more

A haunted house on Christmas? Who knew? So I went to check it out. As I drove up to park. I noticed it was packed with those looking for a good scare. But that didn't make parking very difficult at all. As there was plenty of available space. I do hate the long walk to the side of the building. But hey it's all good. I'm just there to get a fright myself. The line was fairly long to get into this spectacular attraction but i'll cover it more in this review. It took me about 15 minutes to get in so I may get my picture with Santa Claus and Krampus. It was quite amusing to get my picture with Santa as to take a trip down memory lane but with an adult Twist of humor as he holding as bottle of Jack & I'm holding myself a Crown Royal. After that I got my picture with Krampus. Whose costume & makeup work was on point. I really enjoy this to as I am a big fan of the movie Krampus. I have to say the acting of the characters was fairly fun as they did spook me & gave me chills as I went through each one of the houses. Their makeup was on point & looked very professional. As if it was done by a movie studio. You should check out the creepy elf I have a pic of. I was impressed with the art work of the props & the interaction of some as you have to push bee hives out of your way in the Forrest Of Fear. I was also impressed with the backgrounds for each house. The background designers who created didn't leave out much detail. I also have to mention the sets are excellent. Each of the 5 houses I've went through felt real especally the Morgue of the Insane asylum and the hillbilly Shack. I was impressed with how everything was ran created & organized. I was so impressed I'll be going to every haunted house they'll hold. Reguardless if it's Halloween or Christmas. This year was a great year for combining horror and Christmas. We watched Nightmare Before Christmas, Krampus, and visited this place. I decided since I had done so much Halloween-themed stuff this year and since it's my favorite holiday that this should be my 1000th review! This was a lot of fun! We came for the Christmas house and got to meet Drunk Santa and Krampus. They make a huge point of making sure you know NOT to touch the actors. I didn't get why until I was walking through and found myself inches from some of them quite a few times. A few of the jump scares got me but otherwise I had fun walking through. No one in our group was a screamer, sadly, but we all still enjoyed ourselves in our little group. The house itself is a bunch of differently themed houses all connected together. They tell you you won't need to go through any doors which is helpful because there were times I was stuck on where to go and had to shimmy around the actors to avoid touching them. I'm not sure if I was supposed to stop and watch their act but if I had my friends behind me wouldn't have been able to see. We thought the actors did a pretty good job. One guy was so committed he even fell over hard enough my friend asked if he was ok. At one point, we made an inappropriate joke about one of the mannequins and my husband accidentally pointed at one of the actors and thought we were talking about her. She went with it and he was embarrassed and it was a funny moment we teased him about for a while. My friend noted that there's usually more actors for the Halloween house but that otherwise it was a pretty similar setup to that. The gore was pretty gruesome in some parts but I think Universal Studios already destroyed my nausea to it because I didn't get sick this time. The only thing I was bummed about was that there wasn't as much of a story as the lady up front said there was. She said if we pay attention we can figure it out but I didn't really see much beyond an asylum gone nuts. Would've been fun for there to be more but it was still a fun experience and we'll be back for Halloween! read more

Cannot say enough good things about this haunt! Line moves quickly, get there EARLY! The haunt is scary and design is awesome. They also have 3 escape rooms that are fun to do while you wait. The haunt was fantastic, but the path to get there. Miserable! 1. Bought tickets online. There were no other instructions. 2. Get to gate, approach security. Have to return to vehicle to store purse...no mention on website about this! 3. Wait in another long line to exchange paper ticket for real ticket. Um no mention at beginning to skip this line to the right and go forward to special window. 4. We did pay extra for fast pass, best decision! Website could have WAY more real information. Go, it's worth it but know it's a bit disorganized, parking is scary too. So my suggestion: Buy tickets online, wear pants with deep pockets so you don't loose your keys or cell phone. Take print out, skip ticket line go to the far right go to last window, buy the fast pass and look for the VIP signs to skip the big line. We bought the full package, the first "house" is 4 rolled into 1, then the 5th house is 3D and crazy. read more

By far one of the best haunted houses I've been to in Memphis! We did all 3 of their houses which cost 25 bucks for all three. Trust me, its well worth the money. The 3 haunts were called Dark Matter, Tormented, and Twisted. The Dark Matter haunt was 3D and was pretty cool but not near as scary as the other 2 haunts they have. The lines weren't that bad. I don't really think this is too kid friendly though so be warned. My girl hates, hates, hates, haunted houses and I think she hates me too now for bringing her. read more

Y'all better get on that. It's 25 to get in but it's worth, I had such a good time and the actors were rly rly good. The darkness added a creepy atmosphere and there were scaries around Every. Freaking. Corner. It was a monster waiting on me and my team in every room and the way the rooms were decorated rly made me feel like I was in a horror game or something. Like resident evil and we went through like 4 different areas. It was awesome I would highly recommend this to anyone. Also this was my first haunted house and I was not disappointed at all. 10/10. The security at the check point was ok. The line was long. I was waiting there for literally 30 mins and I timed it but I'm tellin you it was worth for all the fun I had. Police were outside the place. Had to walk through a metal detector and the regular stuff out my pockets. There was food and drinks for sale so bring your money or card. They take both. I don't know the prices because I didn't bring my card. You can buy something called a fast pass to go to the front I believe. No rude people and everything was so great. I loved it. read more

We enjoyed this haunted house very much. Took my young cousin and he loved it! Went through all three for $25. It was Thursday and we didn't have to wait at all. Don't bother buying tickets ahead of time as you still have to go to the box office to get passes. We went to one of the top rated houses in the country and while it was much larger this was well done and was scary at points. Give it a shot! read more

This business is a haunted house for the Halloween season. I'm sure this is seasonal as I have not seen it here before. It was open last year in this same location. Went last night. They have two haunted houses in one, Dark Matter and Tormented. I will review Dark Matter first. Dark Matter is more of a visual thrill than an actual hanuted house. You still have people jumping out trying to scare you but not as much as Tormented. In Dark Matter you wear 3d glasses for your walk through. Lots of skeletons hanging all over the place with 3d paint on them. Some VERY trippy visuals as you walk through. As soon as you enter you walk through a tunnel spinning around you and the way the tunnel looks with your 3d glasses is a big trip. Other than this the rest of the walk through is pretty trippy with some demented clowns jumping out and scaring you. Sometimes you don't know where to go. This is why they say if you dont know where to go, keep walking and you will find out. lol. This one is good and should be kid friendly if the kid doesn't mind people popping out every once in a while. Felt like we were on our own a lot walking through as there wasn't very many people popping out. This one is supposed to be a little bit more friendly and I got a sense of that which is good. It would still be creepy for a kid but it is toned down a hair. Tormented - This was good. This is the gory blood bath one. Not sure if the theme changes every year but this year was a mad doctor killing his patients or something like that. This was like a warehouse and you walk from scene to scene. The detail and and the realness and professionalism was SUPERB. People really got into their part and and just the detail of everything was awesome. For example, one scene we walked into a room where a nurse turned around and pulled a head out of the sink and was holding a butcher knife. Blood on her hands and face and clothing and the head looked real and she said, weve been expecting you. It was just so good. Lots of gore and freaky stuff. I was smiling the whole time, it was great. I do have two complaines about tormented. 1- When you walk in someone is standing above you and you can see them through a metal grate in the floor. They were shocking the metal grate with I believe live electricity. It simply makes a spark and a loud pop sound. My complaint is I believe one of the sparks grazed my face. Though the spark may not have had enough energy or heat to do anything by the time it got to me this could turn some people off. My other complaint is when something pops out to scare you (a human in a costume) they tend to follow you to creep you out. This goes on at every haunted house I have been to but it made my wife unconfortable here. Not because a creepy thing was following you but because how close they followed you. Literally right on top of you, literally. As close as you can get to someone without touching them which is very clsoe. And they would follow you for 2-3 different scenes. It was like ok, enough is enough go back to your post. I can stand the following for a shot distance but it was bothersom. Other than these I would go again and recommend both. Make sure whoever you are with is going to go, no money back and it is 10 bucks a piece. At the end of Tormented you have to walk through an area with bodies hanging from the ceiling that are wrapped in pastic. You almost have to push them out of your way. This was cool. read more

Haunted Web of Horrors is my favorite haunted attraction in Memphis. This year they have three haunts, Dark Matter, Tormented, and newbie Twisted. The most popular one is Dark Matter in 3D. The visuals are great and add on to the already scary atmosphere. Beware, if you don't like clowns this is not the place for you. Tormented is the scariest hands down. It reminds me of The Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn put together to torment me. Twisted looked promising but was my least favorite. The music, fog effects, and wired fence maze were all good, especially the surprise ending that was probably the only time I jumped. I just wish the actors were more scary or maybe chased us around the maze and this is coming from a person who scares easily. Don't get it twisted though, the Haunted Web of Horrors will make you yell like a little girl. read more

Total garbage waste of money. Didn't want to leave my purse in the car in that hood. A fight broke out in line. Bad security.

I did the 3D one last year & am going back this year with my teenagers. It was well worth the extremely long line & I can't wait to watch my boys squell, lol. It will absolutely make you jump, it is super great fun!!! Not for little kids though, it is pretty frightening :) read more

I have to say I was impressed by these haunted houses they were very entertaining. I did not expect much from the 3D haunt called Dark Matter but it was actually one of the best I would have loved to go through again. I was thinking the 3D thing would really not work but it did and was pretty cool. This haunt has bright colors under black lights and there are tons of friendly dead looking clowns and circus people to help you not find your way out....I can not believe I listened to a demon clown on how to get out of the maze....don't trust him! The next haunt was Tormented this was a little more serious and scarier you enter the asylum and the patients are not friendly or alive! There were several special effects in this one that were pretty cool would like to see how they did it. The last haunt was Twisted it was great because you pretty much see nothing you are enclosed in fog and dark which to me can be scarier than seeing a monster face to face. In all this was a great time get a group and go enjoy this place a lot of Halloween fun!! read more
