I can understand how this would be a locals favorite, I know I will come back to perhaps enjoy the U Pick or the store again, not run. The store itself was for me a combination of an old style farm , with a mix of everything else, from deli, reasonable prices, apples, cider, flavored cider, produce, snacks, candy, hard to find items. I loved the apple selection, and the samples, just the fact alone you can buy apples from a farm, in May, and apple cider ; made me feel like an adult in her hey day of the fall season.. Ever crisp was my favorite apple, and I loved that they had their brand of flavored ciders. Unfortunately , I forgot to take picture of all my purchases, and specialty items. Even though I'm not a donut person, heard they are known for their Blueberry ones.... I adore biscottis, and there section near bakery were off the charts with wow and design factor. They also sell a delicious blueberry angel food cake that's way better than shortcake, but they have that, too. Sugar snap peas, and sweet peas are also very sweet that you can eat them raw right out of the pod. They have many baked goods that are absolutely delicious. Baked bread, large selection of different types of cookies, large selection of different kinds of pies. Both ones made from sugar, and others made from Stevia. They have jelly and jams made by the Amish, as well as Amish made cheese. You can buy eggs, and meat as well. They are open all year long, but they obviously have a larger selection of locally grown produce in the spring, summer and fall. They have greenhouses, so they do grow things in the winter, but best time to visit is spring through fall. Their spinach is very dark green and the leaves are sometimes bigger than my hands... Nothing like you would see at a supermarket. They have multicolored carrots coming in colors of yellow and purple, as well as orange. You don't have to buy the multicolored carrots and you can just get orange, but I know different nutrients are in different colors of vegetables, so I like to get the multicolored carrots and multicolored potatoes. Sweet corn is also very sweet; so sweet that you don't need to add butter and salt. My chiropractor in Boardman told me about this place, and I thank her every time I see her because I never knew it existed. If you are getting your produce at a supermarket during Ohio's growing season, you are really missing out by not getting it here. Everything tastes so much better when it's homegrown.

When I complained they lied and said corn is fresh each morning, but I was one of the 1st ones in. It was the prior day's corn, they lied about the corn and accused me of lying. Then they deleted my Facebook reply and banned me from their FB page, so much for these closed on Sunday people. Will complain to county about dangerous food handling.

This is like finding a buried treasure in your backyard. This small shop sits behind Das Dutch Haus…read morerestaurant, which is well known in the Columbiana, Ohio area, unlike the Cupboard. This is the only place we will buy our deli meats & cheeses, just so much far above the store brands. Spices? They got 'em, fresh and 1/2 the price of store bought brands; big selection! All kinds of beans, home made chocolates, snacks, jams, jellies, etc. The employees are honest & knowledgeable too and parking is never a problem.
