This is my second visit to Rodeo within the last year. The menu has a really nice selection of both cold and warm starters, and the salad selection is above average for most places. They also have a small tapas menu, offer soups, fajitas, seafood and even lambchops. On top of all this, they also have one of the largest selections of steak cuts I have ever seen in Eindhoven. Here you will find flank steak, top sirloin, tenderloin and ribeye - and in a variety of different sizes. For quick reference, the steaks come in various sizes (grams). Here's a quick way to determine how much meat your getting with the portions that Rodeo offers for the steaks: 180g (6.34oz), 250g (8.8oz), 350g (12.3oz), 450g (15.8oz), 600g (21oz). On this visit, i had the small bbq ribs as a starter. This was just right as an appetizer. It's a small plate with 6-7 spare ribs that are lightly sauced and seasoned and they tasted pretty good. I would definitely order them again. For my main course I went with the mixed kabob tenderloin (250 gram) plate. This came with a small piece of beef tenderloin and two chicken cutlets that have been pounded flat. The steak was cooked medium - exactly as I ordered it, and the chicken was done perfectly without being overcooked. Both the chicken and beef tasted great. They also brought out with the plate potato gratin and a bowl with some small frites and mayo to dip them in. I would definitely come back here again. I've had good experiences both times and the quality of the food is definitely superior here. Just be aware that the average bill here tends to be higher than for other restaurants in the area. That being said, if you like a good steak, you will definitely want to give them a try yourself.

Very disappointing. Came in here after checking out different restaurants in the area. Being Cuban,…read moreI was quite excited once I saw the menu. They had a good selection of foods and a kids menu. I was looking forward to having my friends try a little different cuisine. Walked in, plenty of spaces in the first floor (didn't even look in the second floor but I'm sure they also had space up there). However, our group of 9 people was turned away and we were told we couldn't be seated because "there was no space". I mean, I could clearly see several empty tables. Weather was bad, we had kids in tow, and after a busy day we were ready to eat some good food and head back home. It's a shame we couldn't do it here. Gladly though, I was able to find a nice Italian restaurant right around the corner with great food, amazing service and as accommodating as they could (consider they were indeed quite packed, very unlike Cafe Latino).

Nachos with some spiced up minced meat and little tomato cubes. Very tasty! Main dish I had some beef fajitas, not the best I ever had and they weren't served as most Mexican restaurants do, sizzling in a cast iron pan. More or less OK The service on the other hand was bad, the waiters were particularly unfriendly and slow. The ten euro mojito, came with little alcohol and lots of crushed ice. I'm giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just had a bad day. But the fact that it's pricey remains unchanged.

And honestly I wonders in because it was close to my hotel. I was glad I did because I found some really friendly owners (two sisters) who have been in Germany for 26 years. One of the owners felt talkative and we practiced our communications skills in my terrible Spanish and her English to the amusement of us both. I learned all about the challenges the family faced in moving to Germany and learning to modify recipes so Germans would eat it. So the food, once they learned I knew what Latin food was supposed to taste like and more importantly that I actually liked real Latin foods they decided to give me something off the menu. She said I won't like what they have on the menu because it was all designed for German tastes apparently Germans don't like things very spicy and they don't the flavors that their traditional Latin foods have or at least they don't purchase them. so the meal they made me was something she would normally make for her family. It was a kind of marinated steak and Yucca plants and other vegetables. Then she brought out what she called a chili sauce that was very hot but also very flavorful, she said Germans would never eat it and she was surprised when she saw that I liked it. The owner said most customers don't like chilis or peppers here. we enjoyed the rest of the evening I ended up staying probably two hours. Everything that they brought out was very good. I got introduced to other members of the family, I got to go back to the kitchen and made friends with everybody there. I was invited to come back and made me swear that I would return before I leave to tell them goodbye. It was really good experience and fun to be close to the people who are serving you. Normally I would not like so much interaction but being alone it was perfect. If you go in ask to order off the menu if your adventitious.

Arroz y Mariscos - so flavorful, so fresh, and such an amazing depth of flavor and seasoning. The crispy Peruvian bread was fantastic. Service is in Spanish or broken English/German. Point and smile - you'll be fine!! Enjoy!
