Docking at Tulum just to smoke was years back for us, FL was going to have to do on this trip ;) Landed at ATL, drove over here to get a couple cigars for a celebration weekend. They didn't have exactly what I wanted but I made do with others. Great service! I also love supporting local small businesses. Our cigars were nice! We smoked them along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico which mind you is just as pretty as the shores in Tulum. read more

Havana Cigars is located on Historic Auburn Ave. It's in a small Plaza at the Ebenezer Church intersection. If you're not looking, you'll miss it. As some of us know, this area can be a little sketch at times. HOWEVER... although the neighborhood regulars do stroll by often, I got the feeling that they know not to bother anything associated with this establishment. There were no issues in that category. I soon felt very at ease. It was also nice that there is free parking in the Plaza directly in front of Havana. A huge plus. I wanted to try one of their branded cigars. The guy working asked what I normally smoke and he made an amazing recommendation. The Havana. It was medium bodied, smooth and delicious. I was disappointed that I didn't get to try any of that cuban coffee they advertise. It would've paired so well with the cigar. I loved the low-key vibe and ambiance of Havana. They had latin music playing in the background. The boyfriend and I relaxed, chatted, smoked and had a great time. This was a Saturday, early evening. Around 7:30ish, they had a live DJ playing mostly R&B. We were the only people in the place at the time, so I'm not sure what the crowd is like normally. I was driving by and saw this very unassuming storefront during the day. Parking is one way in and the same way out. There's some parking on the street as well. When I walked in I saw interesting eclectic furniture and memorabilia on the wall. There was a very interesting man behind the counter his name was Hassan. I loved his hat. I didn't stay too long but he introduced me to his interesting friend Ray and they both gave me a quick tutorial about cigars. I must say I definitely know more now than I did before walking into this establishment. I actually like the smell and the shape of the cigars. I learned a lot about the different regions of a cigar. The color and the smell of each cigar is different even how it's rolled at the foot.(The flat end) The conversation was great and the mood was chilled. I think all I need now is a sniffter full of Brandy. At least that's what I see in the movies. I don't smoke cigars but I think if I had friends/ family visiting me that were into it, this would be a perfect place to take them. read more

Visit date: July 5, 2021 CIGAR LOVERS!! This is a very chill spot. Music, Vibe and CIGARS!!! And they also have coffee and little snacks. The cigars selection is GREAT! They have some cigars that they do not seek in Charlotte. My husband find some that's hard to find. Inside: is small and perfect a brown leather sofa and a couple of high table with chairs. This is one of the best cigar shops I've been in. They have an abundant selection of cigars. They are always helpful with a selection. They carry the hypnotic which is how I found them. They participated in a fundraiser for the troops with a local brewery. They have plenty of seating so you can enjoy a cigar while Cuban coffee. read more

Listen! I don't even smoke. I visited here with a friend. He's a regular here. I absolutely adored this place. It has a very cozy, home feel. The owners are husband and wife. They were there and both very pleasant and friendly. The place has a good vibe. You walk in and you feel like you're amongst people that you have known forever. I'm big on energy and the energy in this place is very positive. We sat and listened to music and just enjoyed the scene. I tried Cuban coffee for the first time and was hooked. Again... I don't even drink coffee. Lol. I guess I do now. Parking is available along the street. Ladies night is Fridays. People come by and check this spot out. You will not be disappointed. The surrounding area isn't the best, but once you enter inside the store, you really don't even recognize you're in Atlanta. The ambiance was great, the cigars were great, their service is very knowledgeable and helpful. They don't force cigars on you, but rather try to identify your pallet and find you a cigar you will really enjoy. 10/10 would recommend read more

We were leaving the Braves game and wanted to find a cigar shop close by that wasn't going to make us feel underdressed. This place was perfect. As soon as we walked in other patrons and shop employees greeted us. At one point in the night I told the lady that was in charge that I felt like we'd stolen her from everyone else. We danced, smoked cigars, laughed and danced some more. There is outdoor seating which is a plus for me since I can't take smoky air after a while due to allergies. As I write this I must admit they probably have a good ventilation system because the few times I stepped inside it didn't seem as if the smoke was still in the air. We noticed their hours said they closed at 2am and since it was 2:30am, we began to question, what time they close and the answer was when everyone is ready to leave. So around 3, we started packing it in. As leaving, the lady host mention Fridays are ladies nite, so I definitely plan to partake in this establishment again. Most fun I've ever had at any cigar bar. This unassuming shop is a gem for the novice to the seasoned cigar enthusiast. Visiting the Havana shop is like visiting friends who happen to have a serious collection of cigars and coffee in their great room. If Rafa is there, he can help you select the right cigar for the occasion (everyday vs. Special) and beverage (coffee, beer, liquor). Although we didn't have coffee, I'm sure they got something to enjoy and/or compliment a cigar. Cigars with diverse flavors, strengths and price points. We bought two different cigars, medium flav, and mid level price point. Haven't smoked it yet, Bae saving for Bday. As for the spot, luving Havana and will certainly visit again. I'm so very glad I found Havana Cigars and it's lovely owners. After scoping out several spots around town for a cigars for a wedding, I stopped in here late one night and met Heather and her husband. I immediately felt welcomed and loved the intimacy of their little place and the way they make all of their customers feel like family. Their cigars are Cuban-seed and specially picked by them. Their quote was fair and included Heather being in attendance at our reception to cut and light cigars and provide great service to our guests. It was the exact feel I was hoping for and a favorite part of the wedding for many of the guests. I can't thank y'all enough! While exploring downtown Atlanta .. by accident, we stumbled upon this cute little cigar shop lounge that made us feel right at home coming from Miami. Sheik, the manager, was so inviting and accommodating. He helped us pick out a light crisp cigar from Cuba.. AND he passed the test on a good espresso shot. We played cards, dominos and had such an amazing vibe. What a quaint little spot to stumble upon. If you are visiting Atlanta and love cigars stop by this place. Was in town for Atlanta Cigar Week from LA and ate at a breakfast spot and was looking to smoke at a lounge. Looked on Yelp and 300yards down the street on Auburn Street was Havana Cigars. Small intimate Black owned business with a welcoming environment. Nice selections of sticks and cozy chairs and sofas. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Chilling with a nice cigar now. read more

For me the owner get's it. I was in town for a few days and had some time to kill and wanted a good cigar. Because of the good reviews I chose Havana. I chose well!! As soon as I walked in and saw the laid back decor and the boutique collection of cigars I knew this was a good choice. Rafa gave me a good education on Cuban cigars and why he chose to open his Cigar lounge. When I come back to Atlanta I will visit. The female owner was very welcoming. It's a BYOB establishment, which threw me for a loop b/c as a former fat person, pairings like charcuterie boards, wine and cheese, etc also extend to matching the perfect cigar with the perfect drink. Since I like flavored stuff, she offered to put caramel in my espresso and paired with an apple cigar, it went pretty OK. When I let her know that the cashier forgot to ring up my espresso, she said don't worry about it and allowed me to drown my espresso with additional caramel. The place can hold about 10 ppl and there is seating for another 4 ppl outside. They have a mom'n'pops vibe and were having an Old School party that night and had free food. It's also 4 blocks away from one of the main eating strips in ATL so if ya wanna low key hangout after dinner one day, Havana is definitely a place to consider.
