Unfortunately seating inside sometimes is hard because people would order a coffee and just seat there for hours doing work. I don't that's appropriate and staff should not allow that. So many times there were no seats and bunch of people doing "work" on laptops while families with kids had nowhere to seat. I don't think it's "work at the cafe" place, people come there to eat mostly and it's weird to see one person with a coffee and a laptop taking up a whole table for an hour while there is a line out of the door of people. We ordered two different types of Empanadas, 1 Argentine Ham & Cheese, 1 Colombian Chicken & 1 Colombian Beef. They were delicious!! We also ordered Alfajores, a delicious soft cookie. I loved Macondo so much, I might go back again before we leave Tampa.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered an espresso cinnamon roll, and a chocolate-filled croissant, and everything was delicious! No drinks this time. My only suggestion to the owner would be to package the donuts and pastries in front of the customer at checkout rather than taking them into the back to box them up. Most donut and pastry shops package items within view of the customer, and I think it gives customers a little more peace of mind when they can see their specific items being handled and packaged, especially when it comes to food. Overall, we really enjoyed everything we tried and would definitely stop by again!

It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. Visited Cuban Grounds Cafe for the first time today. It was a special day for them. They were…read morecelebrating their 10 year anniversary for Niaddi Flan and a Ribbon Ceremony for this location they opened in August of '25. They had specials since today is April 20th, their flans were $4.20 and their Cubans were 10% off. I ordered four flans including Original, Nutella, Guava, and Mango. They also have a cafe con leche flan flavor, choco flan, key lime pie and burnt cheesecake just to name a few. I also ordered a Cuban sandwich. They have various sandwiches and other items on their menu including Cuban coffee and flan inspired cold brew. I need to get next time. They were quite busy & their ribbon cutting ceremony was taking place today. Everything still ran smoothly and they gave me my order to go. Came home to split this sandwich which also comes with potato sticks and tried two of the four flan. Everything was excellent. So many Cuban sandwiches out there, but hard to find a good one. This one was super legit and sooo good!! The flans were exceptional too. We tried the original and guava first. Tomorrow will be the Nutella and mango. Can't wait to go back to try their coffee and their croqueta preparada. It's a Cuban sandwiches with croquetas added in it. Glad I finally checked this place out. It's not much from the outside.
