Dr. Lerch personally responded the same night after hours (while the competing office got back to me the following morning, asked all the same questions I had already answered in their online intake form, and then recommended I schedule an appointment in two weeks). She messaged to let me know they consider this an emergency and would prioritize it (it's very painful and hot/cold sensitive to have an exposed tooth with veneer missing). I was in her chair getting the veneer reattached the following day. Altogether it took less than 30 minutes. Admittedly, I came to Dr. Lerch's office with some quiet distrust of dental offices in general. However, I have since found that I can completely trust Dr. Lerch's office with the full scope of my dental care, and so I also recently decided to move forward with a lingual frenectomy that had been impacting my speech for decades but I kept avoiding. The procedure took minutes and was entirely painless. Lastly I'll add that what makes this place truly exceptional is that Dr. Lerch's care and standards are not limited to her. Every person I have spoken to in the office shares the same qualities, whether Robby, Rahisha, Karen, or anyone else. It's clear that Dr. Lerch's values shape who she hires, and it shows in every interaction. I am glad I found her office.

As the first point of contact, their interaction with you sets the mood for how the rest of the visit is going to go & the level of care and respect a patient should expect to receive. I find it highly disturbing though how unprofessional, disrespectful, and just downright nasty this receptionist treated me just because I DARED to ask her questions about the services they offered adults. Before I can even get a chance to inform her that my sons are patients there and schedule their annual exam she quickly dismissed me and told me in a rude voice that I do not take Husky for adults! I said OK well I would like to schedule an appt. for my sons... I was immediately interrupted and was told once again in a very infantilizing tone I told you, "we do not take Husky for adults okaaaaay!" I said well then you should know NOT ONLY DOES IT NOT SAY THAT ON YOUR WEBSITE. But in fact, 211 info line states that you do? Instead of apologizing or just saying, well, I'm sorry for the misrepresentation...she hung up on me?! I called back & asked if it was an accident that I was hung up on? Only to be told in her augmentative tone "No, It wasn't!" I said, why would you hang up on a patient? Her VERY professional response was " why what are you gonna do about it?" I asked to speak with the dentist and she stated there is no need for me to get her. I am her daughter so I know with certainty my mother will agree with me when I say find your sons another dentist, and hung up on me AGAIN! I think it goes without saying if this is the level of care you receive at the front desk. God help you if you become a patient of this FAMILY practice!

My experience with this dentist was one of the worst in my life. Last year, I began feeling a…read morestrange sensation in one of my back molars. Concerned, I booked an emergency appointment (which was incredibly expensive) with Dr. Adrienne Tartagni the following day. The appointment seemed routine; they took X-rays, which I didn't expect to reveal anything alarming since I had seen my own dentist back in my home state less than two months prior for an exam and cleaning, as I don't reside permanently in CT. After reviewing the X-rays, Dr. Tartagni performed a hot and cold test on my tooth and abruptly informed me that I needed a root canal. I was surprised because I didn't feel much during the test and mentioned this to her. Looking back, it seemed like she was either guessing or pushing for unnecessary treatment. After being told I needed a root canal, I was taken to the financial office and given an exorbitant out-of-pocket estimate. The news was especially stressful since I am a college student and my dental coverage is in my home state. Ultimately, I sought a second opinion from my dentist back home, who promptly reassured me that my tooth was perfectly fine and that I had narrowly avoided being taken advantage of. Multiple X-rays confirmed this, and other dentists agreed that no treatment was necessary. This happened about a year ago, and today, my tooth feels completely normal and the strange sensation has disappeared. It even felt better a couple of days after the visit, despite the lady working in the financial office saying that the "pain would likely just get worse" if I didn't go through with the procedure. My dentist back in my home state confirmed it was just sensitivity, which I'm confident he was correct about. I believe Dr. Tartagni and her office should feel ashamed for causing such unnecessary stress. While I understand that medical professionals can make mistakes, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I often reflect on how fortunate I was to have questioned whether the procedure was truly necessary, especially considering the invasiveness of a root canal. This situation has left me wondering how many others may have been similarly affected by their practices. If faced with a recommendation for an invasive procedure by this office and you're unsure of its necessity, I strongly urge seeking a second opinion.

They managed to fit me in and I felt like a treasured guest there, even though I won't be able to see them regularly. The office is super clean, runs smoothly, and everyone there was so kind, to me and to each other. They took x-rays to confirm the break, and the dentist polished down the tooth to make me more comfortable until I can see an endodontist. I am so grateful... I only wish I lived closer so I could see them again!
