I have been coming to Haven Hill for over 55 years. It started with my parents wanting to create great family memories. I learned tent camping with an outhouse, fishing, swimming, watersking and milking cows! Over the years there were many updates and I took my kids so they could experience this wonderful place. I am now a grandmother so you guessed it.. my grandchildren have also experienced what Haven Hill has meant to our family! I have no doubt that they will take their children one day! Low key, quaint, family-owned lake resort (it's been running for 100+ years!) The BEST sunset views you will ever see. My family usually has good luck with fishing (sunnies, crappies, bass, walleye) from the dock or boat. My favorite is listening to the loons while sitting around the campfire at night. read more

What an incredible place! Haven Hill Resort is a quiet and beautiful, family-owned resort, set on peaceful Loon Lake. They have 4-cabins for weekly-rental, a nice beach and boats for-use. Donna, the owner, has been running the resort for over 60 years, and the resort has been in their family for over 100 years! Donna hired a new manager, who has put a lot of time and energy into updating structures and policies. Worst experience ever I reserved a cabin arrived was given a smaller cabin without any notice to me the cabin was Small and delapited holes you can see through in the wall no hot water was supposed to have a dock for my cabin and it was being utilized by ppl in the neighboring cabin and I was expected to be okay with this and still pay for my week vacation I drive 8 hours for this......with just a apology and nothing to make it right......I left will not be forced to accept this to accommodate others i will not recommend going there read more

Haven Hill prides itself on being a family- run business that has been in our family for over 100 years. Multiple generations return to Haven Hill each year to enjoy the calm of the water, fishing, family, and friends. Within the past few years, there have been improvements with guidelines and contracts that were written for the campground so that everyone who camps at Haven Hill can enjoy it equally and responsibly. The contract is signed by the seasonal camper for the season and it is an agreement between Haven Hill and the camper. We are a licensed campground that follows the rules and regulations of the State of Minnesota The reviews that were written from a negative point of view are based on campers who have chosen to not follow the guidelines of the contract of Haven Hill Resort and have had multiple warnings about not following the guidelines. Change has occurred at Haven Hill and campers have appreciated these changes and the guidelines of the contract. This resort feels like home. The beach is great, my boys love swimming and playing with all the other children. We always feel like family as soon as we drive up. 10/10 must stay. The cute cabins bring you back to the days when you came to the lake to unplug and play! read more

First review was taken down. The new owner is one of the rudest people I've ever met. I have never felt so disrespected, especially for being someone who pays rent so she can pay her bills. Already had a few people move out of their places on the resort, assuming other tenants have been treated the same and would rather spend their money on a nicer, better-managed resort. I wish Cheryl the best trying to find new people to rent her soon-to-be empty resort :) edit: notice after posting my initial review, a bunch of good reviews flooded in on the same day?
