One can get either a daily pass or a weekly pass, perfect for the many tourists that travel through Palm Springs. The clientele appears to be almost entirely gay men -- I might have seen two women in the entire facility. I felt comfortable wearing very little while working out -- short shorts and a tight tank top, and I fit right in. The equipment and the space itself are fine, a bit rough around the edges and it could be cleaner. And the men's locker room was quite crowded and smelled a bit musty -- the steam room is essentially an orgy room. There are more polished gyms in the area, but if you are visiting and want to get a workout in, as well as have some additional fun, this is the place to go.

There are three separate rooms with equipment for strength training, cardiovascular exercise, circuit training and a room for Zumba ($10 if your a hotel guest) and Spin classes (not sure the price). The cardio room has treadmills, elliptical machines & stationary bikes with a view of the outside pools. The machines are clean, new and very well maintained. There is a section next to it with free weights, two olympic benches, a smith machine and a curling bench. In the room across the way they have all the circuit training equipment which has about 15 stations for every part of your body including a stretch machine that I have never seen before lol. The staff is awesome and they greet you with a smile and help you with anything you need. They provide towels and direct you to your desired location after signing in. This is definitely a top notch gym (with flat screen TV's EVERYWHERE) that deserves a top notch rating. It's one of the best hotel gyms I've been too! OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I've noticed it's helped me get more stamina. For instance, just two weeks ago, I had to run from the SFO Terminal 1 TSA check-point to gate B13. That's quite a distance, especially since they've remodeled. I was so surprised that I could do it without any trouble. In the past, I would have been out of breath and perspiring profusely. Thanks to Zumba Gold, I made my flight with just a few minutes to spare. And about the class, the instructor, Barbara, is amazing! She's super welcoming to everyone who's new, teaches/models the dance moves, gives personalized tips, and makes sure everyone has a blast regardless of whether they are just starting out or are quite accomplished. The class is now held in the Fitness Studio adjacent to the Fitness Edge. The owners of the Fitness Edge have created a terrific space for all sorts of classes in addition to Zumba Gold. This includes TRX, Pilates, and spin.

Before heading over, I called ahead to ask about day passes. A day pass runs $20 for 24-hour access, and they also offer a week pass for $35, which seemed like the obvious choice since I was planning to work out multiple days. However, when I arrived to check in, I was told they weren't honoring the week pass during festival season because apparently it gets busy and they'd rather maximize revenue with individual day passes. A little frustrating, especially since it wasn't mentioned when I called. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and honestly wasn't as packed as I expected given the season. My main gripe is the equipment variety. It felt like there was only one of most machines, which can make things tricky if someone's already on what you need. The chest fly machine was the exception with three available, so clearly it can be done! Minor complaints aside, it's a solid gym and I'd definitely come back on my next visit, maybe just outside of festival season.

I arrived at this location around 9:00 AM to access the gym using a guest pass with a current…read moremember. At check-in, I was initially told I could proceed using a guest pass with a member. I then spoke with a member who agreed to bring me in and returned to complete check-in. At that point, I was told I could not enter due to the nature of my relationship with the member, which directly contradicted the earlier instruction I was given at the front desk. When I asked for clarification on the correct guest access policy, the interaction escalated. The staff member (Anton) raised his voice in front of other members, refused to allow me to speak with anyone else, stated I could not enter, and said that police would be called. Police were called and arrived on site. During the interaction, the staff member continually made unprofessional comments such as "go do pushups in the parking lot," which was unnecessary given the situation. Overall, the experience involved inconsistent instructions, unclear enforcement of guest policy, and an unnecessary escalation of what should have been a straightforward guest check-in. I felt personally discriminated against and would not recommend this gym to anyone.

That said this review is about this studio - one I visited while traveling from OH. Matty was the coach for one session I attended, Jenna another. The merch was displayed nicely and the front desk was super welcoming. The other patrons were friendly and the coach (Matty) was encouraging and crystal clear with his expectations. The music selections were fun. Highly recommend!
