Haverty's has a nice selection of furniture. I have visited all of the furniture stores in Midland a few times a month since September after buying a new house. Haverty's unfortunately stands out as the worst stop of all solely because of the persistence and nagging of their salespeople. I made the mistake of giving one of them my phone number after showing strong interest in one of their couches, that person then continued to call me on weeknights, weekends and holidays for the next several months asking if I was going to buy the couch. It was a car salesman to the extreme. I went back last week and unfortunately got the same pushy sales approach from a different salesman. Tip for Management - allow your sales team to greet the customer and check in once or twice but let the customer have some freedom. If I ever buy from Haverty's it will be online. DO NOT purchase a mattress from Haverty's. HAVERTY's anywhere for that matter. I bought a faulty Stearns and Foster. I've spent thousands of dollars in last 5 years and the large hump in middle of my current mattress (less than 1 year old) is considered "normal wear" There are many mattress companies to choose from with better customer service. read more

After going from place to place looking for the perfect living room set Havertys was our last stop... and THANK GOD! I can not rave enough about the superior customer service we got. Our sells rep Kimberly, was absolutely PHENOMENAL! She listened an heard exactly what we needed and were looking for! I THOUGHT I knew what I wanted and she showed us and explained plenty, but then she pointed us in the direction of this amazing sectional that had options to choose from. We fell in love! The quality of furniture is exceptional and in my opinion far better than the other stores. And with that being said the price was definitely reasonable and being a family of 5 with three boys the amazing warrantee offered was a MUST! I have purchased several pieces of furniture at this location. 4 living room sets, dining furniture, desk, book case and hutch, mattress etc.. The furniture itself has been very good quality. the sales people have always been great. Friendly helpful and i thought honest. Back in february one of my purchases was an office chair. I have had back issues since then and cannot use the chair. I called to see if i could exchange chair or get credit. I was told i only had a 3 day return window. How was i suppose to know in 3 days the chair was going to cause or contribute to back problems? Also I had notified the salesman then that I had tried to use guardsman protection guarantee that they really sell you on but had not had a good response and no response on an item that was damaged. He said he was going to contact them himself and they would contact me. I never did get anything resolved. read more

Ordered couch and love seat in January and the contract said up to 42 weeks. The "target date" slipped twice and is pushing close to that 42 weeks. However, the store claims that they have no obligation to deliver by ANY date or even at all. High quality furniture store, Customer service is excellent, all employees are very nice and helpful. The credit application process is easy and financing furniture is easy if you qualify. We bought the dining room from Havertys, and it was an excellent experience, the price is high but justified with the better quality furniture that you purchase. The delivery did not take long after we made the order and delivery was right on time and installers did a great job. They stand behind their furniture products, and give two weeks after they deliver it and install it for you fall in love with the purchase, if you don't like it they will come back and pick it up! We purchased a lot of furniture in the last 2 years. We had a bit of a delay with a sectional sofa, then part of it didn't match the rest, but our salesperson. Elvia worked to get all the issues resolved. They have always treated us well when we've come in. I highly recommend Elvia. She follows through as promised on everything. She is also very polite and knowledgeable about the furniture. The manager there is nice and helpful also. I feel like we got decent furniture at a reasonable cost. We purchased a Maddux power recliner from Havertys Midland,Texas. We also purchased the Havertys Insurance that is supposed to cover any problem that we might incur (their words) in the future. Within one year the color began to wear off the leather recliner. Havertys advised that there must be a defect in the coloring and replaced the chair. Approximately 9 months later the color began to wear off the new chair. We contacted Havertys and they advised that the leather dye would only be warranted for one year from the date of purchase and that the insurance policy (that should cover any problems in the future) would not cover this problem. We would not reccommend Havertys to the general public and especially the insurance (that will cover any problems that you might incur in the future). Curtis and Nancy Britt read more

Salesperson Jan was very knowledgable about the product and ran a price sheet with photos. She set up delivery for the following week. Two days before delivery they e mail you with a four hr window. The day before delivery, they e mail you with a two hr window. They sent me a link to track the truck. They were on time with all the right stuff and set it up. Everything went right. We found our new home for furniture. Best service yet. It only took 3 days to get out furniture! Even the delivery guys brought great attitudes while bringing the furniture. Ashley's furniture should be the last resort to get anything. Havertys rules!! read more
