I've been to the Seattle Underground twice so I can only compare Havre beneath the Streets to that experience. This was an hour tour for $12. The guide was funny, told some stories and gave factoids. For instance I didn't know that the metal plates riveted to the old poker tables were for placing lit cigars. While the Seattle tour winds itself through many empty passages, this one had more rooms. And what I liked about this tour was that they tried to recreate what it felt like to be in the space, filling it with furnishings and objects from that era. It's fun to hear the stories and find out a little history about the area. And they let you take photos. I'd go again and bring my camera with next time. read more

We were two couples on a two week road-trip and decided to stop In Havre, MT to tour Beneath the Streets. We were just hoping for a change of pace after riding in a vehicle for hours. We joined another couple from Canada and went on a very educational tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared with us the history of her city. It was amazing to be able to see the furnishings that the town was able keep intact. It really allowed the visitors see how the citizens of the early 1900's lived and did business. One member of our traveling group said that this tour was the favorite of everything that we experienced on our journey. read more
