We hired his company to put in a dry bed as we had water coming into our backyard from 2 hills in SW Rochester. We were very clear on our expectations as we were able to show pictures capturing the severity of flooding anytime there was a significant rain. Josh called me at work the day he completed the project to ask if he could come to my work to collect the balance of the payment. I hadn't even been home to see the finished product. The work they did was inadequate and would not accommodate the problem we were having. Due to winter weather arriving, Josh stated he would return in the spring to finish the job. We tried to call many times but he did not return any of our calls. We ended up hiring another company who did an amazing job. Josh is the kind of guy who can look you right in the eye and lie. I was in contact with Hawkeye about some edging, rocks, and re-landscaping/regrading around our house to help with water issues. They came by and gave me an estimate and threw an estimate at us without actually measuring the drop to see whether they actually do the job or what kind of digging they would have to do. Later, they came back to see the property again before committing to the work and he didn't bring a laser and said he couldn't tell me whether he would do it without bringing his laser. After that, they ghosted me and never got back to me. Apparently we weren't important enough. They didn't ever come back with a laser, I wouldn't have been offended if they did measurements and said they couldn't do the job, but just ghosting me like that... highly unprofessional. I called back and left at least 2 more messages, my calls were never returned. They completely blew me off. This company is not good in terms of customer service. They also straight up lied to me, you can just tell me you don't want to do the job, that's fine, but ignoring me and telling me you will come back to measure is just wasting my time. I chose another company and am happy with the results. read more

I would advise you that they provide poor quality work and fail to respond to errors and damage they may cause to your property. Because they employ unskilled folks and then fail to train them in, you will likely be saddled with the cost of repair along with their unwillingness to respond to the damage they cause. Conclusion: Be cautious and STAY AWAY! read more

Hawkeye services just did the most fantastic landscaping job for me on my acreage. I have used a lot of services over the years and have never been so satisfied. The team was personable, knowledgeable, efficient and very reasonably priced. I plan to have Hawkeye Services do another major project for me in the spring. read more
