I would get home from school, gather up enough change I would find around the house and get either a turkey sandwich or a bagel with cream cheese. This was my daily ritual. There's gotta be a reason a tiny store like this in a tiny town has lasted so long. Probably because literally the entire town goes here. I called the store and was greeted with a friendly hello from the other end of the phone. I asked the gentleman if he had any Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale. He replied we have plenty. I came to the store, he immediately knew it was me on the phone and helped me load my cart. He didn't realize I wanted to buy cases of this particular beer. They only had 1 1/12 cases in stock; which I bought. He then offered to contact their other stores to see if they had any more. He took my number and is going to call me if and when they locate more pumpkin ale for me. (Distributors stop their fall ale early) I should have written this sooner, because everyone at this store is friendly and so helpful. The prices are equivalent to other nearby "supermarket prices". Even if they are a smidge higher, I will always support them and their "small" business, which to me isn't small when they provide the customer service they do. I have to say once again, if it wasn't for their amazing employees who always greet you with a friendly, (masked hello) I would not shop here. I encourage everyone to support your local business. A completely weird and scary freak show going on at this liquor store…read more Went in to buy a nice bottle of scotch at Murphy's and as I'm walking through the store, I realize the guy at the front counter is watching my every move. Not in a helping way, but more being a bit of a stalker. I was creeped out by it but then figured he's just a bit weird. I then go to the same cashier to purchase my liquor and the guy says "why the F do you buy such cheap crap", then tosses the bottle on the counter to the point where I thought he had cracked the bottle and then continues cursing about why I would buy such a lousy bottle of scotch. It was one of those rare moments when I was so shocked, I was almost speechless and in fact initially thought he was joking and just with a weird sense of humor. I then realized the guy was completely smashed...either very drunk or drugged out on something. It was beyond disquieting and disturbing. There are others here on Yelp with equally strange stories about this place...you have to wonder how they stay in business and what all the creepiness is about.

In all my years i've never heard or seen a kid get a fake VERTICAL ID(coming from someone who worked in a liquor store for years). So insane bc I went the week prior and they gave me no problem, which I said to them, and they still dismissed me the next week. Will never spend another dime at this liquor store.
