A small pie shop that was hustling and bustling with people and employees. Appears to be very popular among tourists, to the point it was raining out and the line was growing to the outside of the place for people to get their pies. It was however a fast moving line. Almost all seats were taken so we decided to takeout pies to go. We ordered several of them and we were looking forward to the crocodile pie but they didn't have it that day. We were able to score a kangaroo pie. We tried each one of them at home, and each had a unique flavoring. The minced beef one was very runny, so I couldn't recommend it. The chicken and mushroom and chicken and veggie ones were good, still a bit runny inside but not as bad as the minced beef. The steak and mushroom one was the best one of them all, I highly recommend it. The kangaroo one was OK. Would not be my go to one Definitely would try again if they have the crocodile meat pie, but will get a steak and mushroom one just so I have a plan B read more

All of their pies are so delicious, and there's just so many unique flavors. We enjoyed the chicken/bacon/cheese, as well as the butter chicken (the most popular) and the Thai green curry. You really can't go wrong with any flavor. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Desserts and pastries to choose from, too. read more
Artisan bakery! We were led to this wonderful bakery by the glowing reviews online and arrived at Sunday lunchtime to find a long queue! My husband and I tried both options of the really amazing value Sunday roast lunch - lamb pie with potato, peas and gravy and pork pie with potato, peas and gravy. It was so delicious that we braved the queue a second time to order the dessert special - a date, walnut and chocolate tart with coffee. We braved the queue a third time to buy some Anzac biscuits to take away! This is artisan, small batch production at its very best and exceptional value!! read more

i arrived at 12:30 and the queue was short, i got my classic steak and mushroom pie and sat down to read the paper and eat my pie... the paper soon lost my attention as i focused on how great the pie tasted, it was indeed one of the best i had tasted, as i looked up the que was now quite long, no wonder with pies this good, which are well worth waiting for, thankfully the fast and competent made short work of the lunch time rush. I will definitely be back soon. read more

Ah-May-zing... wowsers... The pies are to die for! Pastry was super flakey and nice. Great temp, the meat was so tender and the sauce so juicy. I had the Woolly Jumper I think it was called. Which is Lamb and Kangaroo done in a Red Wine Sauce... Delish! The coffee was great too. That actually really surprised me... great for a quick stop or for a full blown feed. The staff are so friendly too! Go! Check them out! read more

Okay, I am so proud to be the first reviewer on Yelp of Hayden's Pies. For morning tea I had a Flat White coffee made as well as any big city Barrister could do and a Lamb Vindaloo Pie. This was about the best pie I have ever eaten in my life, it was full of big chunks of really high quality tender lamb and was just hot enough to flavour for most people without being too hot (Personally I would have liked a lot hotter). The texture of the pastry, the real chunks of tender lamb and the overall mouth feel and flavour are to die for. I doubted I would ever find better.........until that is...... I went back for lunch and had the Curry Goat pies. OMG it was soooo good. The steak dian pie looked nice too, as did the Collieflour, Cheese and Potato pies. There was also a Mushroom, Creamed Spinach and Cheese pie that sounded good and a Chicken, Cheese and Bacon I think. It is a heck of a long way to go just for a Pie but I may just do it again on the weekend. Maybe I will take an esky down and stock up for my freezer ! Great Coffee, fantastic Pies, nice staff. Best pies in the world I am sure. read more
