Only 4 main items on the lunch board with one rubbed out - I went for sausage with onion gravy and mash - big mistake. Square sausage (assuming lefts overs from the breakfast menu), no onions visible in the gravy by sight or taste - mash mysteriously turned into frozen chips. Unfortunately my wife was fairing just as poorly with a bedraggled ham salad baguette. Both dishes , the lack of service and the total lack of attention to detail all added to an extremely poor experience but we are at least wiser now.

It feels as though most of the place is taken up with conservatories and china and candles, is that what a garden centre should be? The last couple of times I've been in looking through the garden tools and thought: yes this is all very good for a bit of topiary, at the most, but where are the proper tools. I live in Broomhill and i never knew this little clandestine garden centre existed. The lead up to the main store takes you up a small passageway of flowers, plants and herbs - it's akin to walking up someone's drive onto their patio; however just a few paces further we were greeted by a friendly "if there's anything I can help you with folks, just ask". We had a wander round the "patio" area looking through the array of foliage they have for sale, noticing that they are actually situated between two houses, as if you are walking around someone's garden (not off putting at all, though). We headed into the main store, our eyes were met with a section covering everything to do with feeding, grooming and playing with pets; again greeted by another friendly gentleman asking if he could help; when you first walk into the shop it's imaginable that the main room is where it all ends, not the case! Round the corner there's a further section up a small ramp that sells cat beds, dog beds, fish tanks, food for all types of pets imaginably etc etc. Coming out of this little annex you come to a further segment of the shop within it concerned with "growing your own" raspberry plants, herbs, potatoes; all types you could think of, from earlies through to lates - again, at this point you think the store has come to an end, but no! a further installment reveals itself relating to all things in the remit of gardening tools. Being a little independent, local garden centre we expected things to be a little more expensive, but no; prices are very competitive - we walked round to Morrisons to compare prices after leaving here and they are more than comparable if not better prices in some sections. On our way out we had a quick chat with the two gentleman that greeted us on the way in, very friendly and happy to give us a quick history on the place (been around for 16 years!!) and what types of products they sell; letting us know they had a bigger place at one point just up the street, but due to the economic downturn is now closed. If you're looking for pet products, flowers, plants, herbs, grow your own vegetable kits, utensils etc - try driving past the big supermarkets and garden centres and give this place a try; quaint, cute, and has a very local and friendly feel.

It has pretty much everything that you need for all your diy needs. It has all the latest power tools and normal tools. B and Q also has a large decorating section. They also had a very big outdoor and indoor gardening section. The outdoor section is not just plants but also has building materials that you would also use in your garden like paving, sheds and fence panels. B and Q not only has plants and vegetables that are already potted up but they also has a large seed section. This is where i got most of my compost and vegtable seeds and plants for my vegtable bed. I also got 2 really good books to help me with advice for growing fruit and veg.

A while…read moreback i got a bouquette of flowers for my mother from here and i was very impressed with the selction of different flowers they had. Also the staff really knew which flowers would compliment each other as i did not know which flowers to select and the staff were a big help to me. I have also been on the other end as i had received a big bouquette of a dozen red roses from my boyfriend from here and they last for ages. Also the person delivering the flowers to me even though my boyfriend had put down my old office address which we had recently moved from. Also the delivery driver was really nice.
