Usually on the weekends by mid morning into the early afternoon there are pick up games going. Although I haven't been here in a while things could be different now. The surrounding area also features a beach volleyball court, Tennis court, small Dog Park, Public restrooms, a kayak launching pier/dock (There's a small Kayak house, storing kayaks, canoes, & paddle-boards right behind the courts), a pavilion on the other side of the creek, walkways that lead all the way to the ballpark, & the infamous line of houseboats a long the creek. That have been there since the 60's This place is also the location of Klay Thompson's 2017 "Built w/ Chocolate Milk" commercial. It's a hidden tennis court u might not frequent..U can reserve tennis. It's nice when it's a sunny day and the court is clean but pretty busy. We played for an hour. San Francisco is a resort. This is probably one of the best playgrounds in SF…read more After my sons doctors appointment we decided to go to a playground in the area and this one of the closest and highest rated in the area, so we popped on in. We also had his behavioral therapist with us and she spoke highly of this playground. They have a tiny area for smaller kids under 5 which includes a sandbox with toys folks in the area "donated" or left behind. My little boy was in love with the sandbox area. There's another huge play structure for bigger kids and lots of benches and shaded areas for parents and nannies to hang out and unwind while the kids play in the area. Bigger kids can also play in the basketball court. What's neat about this playground is that there are tons of toys such as bikes, balance bikes, toy structures that parents either left behind or donated. My little boy loved playing with some of those toys. There's also a multi purpose room that you can probably rent out for birthday parties etc. As well as a decent bathroom for folks to use while they're in the playground. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. It's a wonderful playground. The only negative is that it can get pretty crowded and sometimes parking is difficult but overall definitely a great place to visit.

The playground features custom, large-scale wooden climbing structures, so watch out for splinters and don't get a booboo at Woo Woo. The massive blue water dragon that wraps around a two-level tower slide and a fiery phoenix sculpture that bridges the play zones can make kids are coo coo at Woo Woo. Dogs aren't allowed so you don't step in doodoo at Woo Woo. With newly updated outdoor courts equipped for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball, plus a dedicated outdoor plaza with fitness equipment so I can lose weight and stop wearing that mumu at Woo Woo. Residents frequently practice tai chi on the plaza. That harmony and energy provides good juju at Woo Woo. Just don't play your music loud We don't want to hear your U2 at Woo Woo. The park links to an expanded, multi-level community clubhouse that serves as a neighborhood center, hosting youth workshops, senior events, and local programming, including ballet, so bring your tutu to Woo Woo. There's plenty of places to picnic, so bring your sandwiches, buns, and Yoo-Hoo to Woo Woo. There's a bathroom, too, in case you need to poopoo at Woo Woo.

The play area is broken down into to parts- one for toddlers and one for older, more active kiddos. My 5.5 year old enjoyed climbing on and through the gigantic dragon structure before heading on to the larger fixture equipped with a tunnel slide. Neighboring is a large metal slide with the climbing knobs on both sides. There are also basketball courts for those who are into hooping. The park seems to be pretty well kept aside from the bottom lip of the tunnel slide being broken. There are restrooms available that appear to be quite clean from the outside as well as water refilling station. 5/5 stars. Willie Woo Woo Wong Playground really has thought of it all. Extra points for my daughter making friends with little miss Jessica- we were so sad to end the play shesh!!

A wonderful place for a pacific-side hike... cliffs and dunes, topped by a unique cypress tree…read moreforest of weathered and worn trees. The trees form a large covered pathway reminiscent of the arches of a large cathedral. We were there in late summer, on a day when the fog was hugging the shore and creating an eerie atmosphere... it made for a beautiful atmosphere so typical of this shore. Parking wasn't an issue as we were there on a Saturday morning. I imagine this gets busier later in the day.... looks like it might be a very popular spot for picnics. The pathways are well maintained, and you get great access to this unique ecosystem. Make sure you hike to the top of the cliff and walk into the "cypress tree tunnels" to see what I'm talking about... it's a beautiful place.

You can get…read morean amazing view of the beach from the Distillery parking lot by hiking along a ridge, but I suggest you take the stairs on Cypress Road to actually set your feet on the sand. There's plenty of free parking around the Distillery (don't tell them I sent you) and the residential streets nearby (REALLY don't tell them I sent you). I hope you've been practicing your parallel parking though! This beach is a great place for little ones and anyone with a fascination with marine bio. The seaweed covered rocks create little tidepools that are home to many a ocean-faring creature - anemones (look out for the squishy green ones exposed to air!), hermit crabs, sea stars, and supposedly seals (don't hold your breath though). If sandy shoes aren't your thing, keep going past the stairs and the trailhead and walk along the soft dirt trail. Follow the fence for some gorgeous views of the sea, and eventually you'll come to a gently downsloping road to the tip of the rocky beach. Photo-op anyone?

Beautiful playground with multiple interactive play structures for all ages. Nestled at the top of…read morea hill, it is built into a community neighborhood. Amazing views from any seat, an amazing backdrop as our daughter played. While we were there, two toddlers and a young boy joined the playground. Not many children were present. Our daughter had fun exploring the different parts of play on the structure along with climbing up the wall to the rail of the street. She lasted for almost an hour before she was ready to go. We saw two boys on the full basketball court. There was a water fountain with a refill station, oversized wooden lounge chairs, picnic tables, grassy areas along with trash, recycling and compost bins. We did not see restrooms, but we also did not wonder further than the extra to the playground. Parking is on the street on flat ground or on a slanted slope. Down the road from this area is a water front, lots of shops, eateries, some hotels and spas, grassy areas, coffee shops and more. The Bay Area Discovery Museum is less than a ten minute drive away. Lots to do and see before or after a visit here.

Unusual little neighborhood park with stunning views of the city…read more This is a neighborhood park - not for tourists... but it doesn't stop a tourist from coming here a few blocks off the main road to imagine life in such a serine area. Most of SF and the bay area is so much hustle and bustle and car break INS and crazy - its almost hard to believe that people just a few miles more away enjoy peace and quiet and serenity. Life in the bay doesn't have to be all gun shots and barbed wire and security cameras. Maybe if you live in one of those situations its important you come here to see how the other half lives. Show your kids the world is big - and you don't have to have some extravagant vacation to Japan to teach your kids this. The park is mostly flat but the surrounding street where you might park is very steep - if your diving a manual transmission car you might test your skills.
