We've bought several vehicles from Hayford. They've been outstanding. I am simply a customer.

Bought a 5yr old used truck from Hayford. Reasonably priced. I came in an hour before they closed and offered to come back the next day. Sales was dead set on a sale that night. The finance department was very unhappy to still be there. I requested to use a loan through my credit union. They never even contacted my credit union. The loan they gave me was based off a credit score that was nearly 120 points below my actual score. My credit union verified my credit score when I refinanced pretty much immediately for almost a 4.5% interest drop. I had to go through the whole refinancing process less than two weeks after I bought the vehicle because Hayford automatically enrolled me in a loan with Wells Fargo with a credit score they got from Equifax. I opened a credit card with my credit union two weeks later and they used Equifax as well and found my score to be way higher. Furthermore a wire for the block heater was clearly identified broken prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Hayford claimed they would fix it. They said they'd call me once the part was in. Two weeks later still no contact by them so I call them and tell them if they are lying about their intentions to fix it to let me know and I'll fix it myself. They then say there must have been a communication error because the part was in stock when my truck was purchased. Their manager Furthermore told me I had no right to question their character because he's a man of his words. I told him to just mail me the part and I'll do it myself. Guaranteed they haven't mailed it and never will. I wish I had a better experience with Hayford and could recommend them to others, but I really can't. Worst expierence I've ever had with a dealership. Their sales team is pleasant and have some good employees, but their finance guy was extremely short and rude, and their manager was more concerned with his pride than he was resolving the issue. They also do not care about how they treat you once you sign the paperwork. I try to keep business local when I can, but I won't be back and won't be recommending them to anyone I know. In a small community reputation and integrity is everything. Not once was it offered to me for them to follow up on how my credit score was found to be 120pts below what it actually is. Nor did anyone apologize for the absolute cluster of a process they have. read more

Are they using a bait and switch advertising model, or did I just get unlucky and all of these 5 star reviews are paid reviews or are friends of employees? DO YOUR RESEARCH before considering buying from Hayford Ford. I found a used car via Carsoup. I verified the availability of the car over the phone. I drove over an hour to get to the dealership to only discover that many of the advertised features of the car that was listed both on the CarSoup ad and even the window sticker on the vehicle were completely missing! With many of these key features missing, the vehicle was way overpriced. The salesman was extremely unhelpful and ignorant about the vehicle. When I pointed out the very important missing features, he barely acknowledged the problem and tried to distract me with the climate control settings of the car. What a joke! For a total of over 100 miles of driving to and from the dealership, I left extremely disappointed. I called and spoke with the general manager who has offered a gas reimbursement, which I will hopefully receive soon. Furthermore, after a full business day and after I lodged my complaint the CarSoup ad still hasn't been updated to reflect accurate information about the vehicle. That leaves me assuming that they're either misleading their customers intentionally or they don't prioritize fixing big mistakes that inconvenience their customers. Either way, I recommend taking your business to a different dealership. I've had excellent service from AutoNation Ford in White Bear Lake. read more

These guys will straight up lie to your face to make a sale. Avoid if at all possible. When looking to purchase a pickup, we found one here that we had interested in. When talking to a friend of our family, they shared with us that they had a lemon and had traded it months earlier, and it sounded to be the same truck we were looking at. After finding out about this information, we questioned the dealer. They assured us that this was not that truck. After moving forward and making the sale, weeks later, we did confirm with our friends that this was indeed the truck they had owned. The previous owner pointed out a screw that he knew had been stripped on the tailgate, among other proof, including the VIN. Fast forward a couple of months and the truck is having brake problems. We take it back to Hayford Ford and they quote something like $500 to repair it and several parts needing replacing. No longer trusting them after being lied to over the sale, we took it to another Ford dealer for a second opinion. The other dealer quoted something around $150 to repair the brakes and, in so many words, said the guys at Hayford were nuts because none of the parts they had said were bad, actually needed replacing. Long story short, try elsewhere before buying here. Come here if you enjoy being lied to. read more

We bought a 2017 Edge in March, 2017. Jon Harris was our salesman and did an awesome job. No pressure sales and that made us very comfortable. They did not have the color we wanted and needed to do a dealer locate. It all went very smoothly. read more

After reading some of the reviews about the customer service at Hayford Ford I was very skeptical about servicing my F150 at Hayford. I purchased the vehicle from Hayford as was not too happy with the salesman who sold me the vehicle. Once I started having problems with my Sync system, after only 2 years and 35500 miles on the truck, I remembered a sale pitch for me to buy an extended warranty on the truck and one of the reasons mentioned was "Just in case the truck electronics go out it will save you about $3000". After reading many online forums about this Ford Sync issues I believe the salesman knew there were problems with the Ford Sync system and rather than fix the issue before the truck was sold he tried to sell an extended warranty to fix a known issue. But this review is not about the salesman. I found the service at Hayford to be outstanding. I was close to my bumper to bumper 36000 mile warranty expiring and believe it or not my Ford Sync system crashed. I had to have the APIM module replaced in my 2017 F150. The service department allowed me to bring my vehicle in about 4 days prior to my appointment and wrote a service ticket on my truck at 35836 miles so I would qualify for warranty service before the 36000 miles expired. I brought my truck in for my appointment and they replaced my module, It was actually upgraded to Sync 3 and performed the service on 3 recalls while my truck was in shop. They even washed my truck for me! Once complete I was able to pick up my truck and leave the business in less than 5 minutes! Mary was very helpful and friendly and I would recommend anyone needed service at Hayford to call Mary for help. I'm still leary about the sales staff but as far as service goes they really impressed me and removed any doubt of service professionalism that I had. read more

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. At first, I really loved the placed. They had a helpful staff that sold us what we "THOUGHT" was a nice, used vehicle. It had a brand new transmission and everything seemed to be great. We used their service station to get frequent oil changes (my husband drives 90 miles round trip to work 5-6 days per week.) Less than a year after we got the vehicle (about 8 months into it) our new transmission failed as my husband was accelerating onto 610 in Brooklyn Park. We had the car towed to our home. I called Hayford Ford inquiring about whether there was a warranty on the (less than a year old) transmission. They flat out told me "no." I called them twice to be absolutely sure. We had one vehicle and the transmission almost costs as much as the car itself. I looked on the transmission and called "Jasper" motors in a last ditch effort to get some help. To my surprise they told me to take it back to them because they "absolutely had to replace it under warranty and if I had a problem then call them back." I made the call, a third time, this time stating that I spoke with Jasper and that I was covered under warranty. Low and behold, they said, "Okay. Bring it in." Without ANY questions whatsoever. At this point, I did not trust them but if we brought it anywhere else, we would have to pay up front and then be reimbursed. It would only be fully (immediately) covered if I went back to them because they were the ones that installed it. We had it towed in and they looked at it and said that they thought they saw the crankshaft was broken. (Which by calling around, I found out is pretty rare on a car.) Later that day, they called us and said that they could order the transmission but we needed a brand new engine. The new engine would be more than what we paid for the vehicle in the first place. Before I towed it in I had my father, who is a very decent (but not certified) mechanic, look over the entire vehicle and he absolutely, did NOT believe it was the engine. I had him speak with them about the vehicle (as I am not fluent in auto lingo). He was very leary about the things that they said. He was also there when we towed it in. We gave them the go ahead to order the transmission and leave the engine alone. They urged us not to do that because the engine would wreck the transmission. So to appease them, I told them to go ahead and that we would tow it out again until we could afford the engine. (Obviously, with no intention of taking it back to them.) A few weeks later, the transmission was done. With so little trust, my father walked into the shop to make sure than they put it a new transmission (he checked the new case to see if the old transmission was in it). They made sure to mark on our receipt that the engine was bad in order to avoid having to assume any responsibility of fixing it again. We had our car towed out, straight to another certified mechanic that we actually trust. He looked everything over and gave us a call and said, " I can't find a thing wrong with this engine." Hayford Ford also did NOT put any transmission fluid in our vehicle. It was bone dry. We drove the car for a year and half after the incident and recently upgraded. The engine never went out, although we did have several other minor problems. We owned it for about 2 1/2 years . Hayford LIED about the engine and I am going to guess that it is because they made NOTHING off of putting in a new transmission. They are greedy and dishonest. They intentionally lied to me more than once. They are great when you are a "paying" customer but if they have to cover an expensive part under a warranty, they are very rude. I would also like to mention that, aside from the bone-dry transmission fluid, they also flipped our floor mats onto our seats and there was dirt everywhere! It was all over and in the creases of our seats. They didn't even bother to clean up their mess! This company's conduct and business practice is deplorable. I would not even trust them with an oil change. I will NEVER use them for any service EVER again. I URGE everyone else to stay far away. Beware. read more

Since then I have also purchased two new vehicles and couldn't be happier with the sales team and service I have received. The Quicklane is fast, convenient, and very knowledgable. After stopping into several twin cities dealerships, I headed out to Isanti for what looked like a big selection of F150s. I knew what I was looking for and had been feeling very pushed into the wrong truck at other locations. I was met by sales person Dan Klick. Thankfully he was very knowledgable about the trucks and LISTENED to what I had to say. He showed me what I wanted and showed me somethings I didn't know were options. I did not feel pushed to just "pick one" but to pick the right one to fit my needs. IF anything I was most impressed by the sales person.
