The half yard of the Blended Mint I just finished distributing was disappointing. A lot of big dirt clods that had to be broken down either by hand or by pounding with the back of a shovel. This load also included rocks, sticks, several scraps of blue tarp and other unidentifiable plastic bits. Many of the clods were just clumps of dry, brown, hard, dirt. A contrast to the rich black color of the Mint Compost. We really like Lane Forest Products and it's convenient location and nice employees. In comparison to prior seasons we are disappointed in the quality and consistency of this once great product.

It had spread out in every direction including in to my neighbors yards. There was a lot of it and nothing I could do by myself. Chris came out to look at the situation and give me an estimate. He is the nicest guy and knows all there is to know about bamboo. He and his crew (also very nice guys) worked hard for a couple of days and removed as much as they could find. He gave me follow up instructions for any stragglers that may have escaped detection and said I could call him for any extra assistance as needed. I am fully satisfied with the service they provided and will definitely call them for any future needs.

They left my yard in disarray, flattened part of my neighbors property instead of moving an obstacle on my part of contiguous area that encroaches on my neighbors property. Overall the service owner is knowledgeable, but the work was not up to the standards one would expect considering the charges. I give it a 2.5 for value. I am now to hiring a crew to complete the work, since it isn't finished.

However, today when I went to purchase several trees for our orchard, and order a large amount of soil and bark, the woman working the lot was extremely rude to us. This was so disappointing. She didn't even ask what we were looking for, just came at us with a lot of passive aggressive comments about where we parked on the lot. It's not that her requests were irrational, just the way she approached the situation was very unprofessional. As a result, I will take my business elsewhere. This was the Glenwood location.
