This doctor is an arrogant wack job. I waited 45 minutes for a quick visit that didn't help me at all. She believes in conspiracy theories regarding Covid and seemed irritated when I told her I was vaccinated. It took me forever to get an appointment and for what!? Avoid this doctor. I signed in to yelp just so I can hopefully warn other people. She will order every test in the book especially those that are in her network just to max out the amount of cash she can get out of you. She and her staff will go over medical questions in the main waiting room! I watched as a patient said his social security number out loud to the secretary behind her desk then he started giving his symptoms which were really embarrassing to say out loud for him I'm sure, let alone a stranger listening in! HIPAA violation for sure. And don't get me started on their billing practices. Imagine going to a mechanic with a broken muffler and the mechanic says well let's flush your radiator, your transmission fluid, change your air filter, oh and let's use a fuel supplement that I'm secretly endorsed by because that "could" solve your muffler problem. But guess what!? The mechanic never even looks at your muffler. Go see anyone in the Camarillo or Oxnard office that Dr. Rojany is in. I want to encourage people to get a second opinion, dr hazen will tell you she is the only one in the county, but Dr Donald Miller with dignity also is a gastroenterologist that treats c-diff. She also told me know one would do a fecal transplant because of her health, which turned out to be false. I hate to say this but she had a God mentality and put fear in my mother, telling her she could die if not treated, the medications was not cost effective for an elderly woman on budget and second opinion didn't even agree with that form of treatment. I also sensed she doesn't treat staff well, we would here talking to them as if they were ignorant. Not good at all, caused a lot of stress, dont want anyone to go through what my mom went through. Dr. Hazan literally saved my ass. I've been seeing her for years to treat UC. One year I ended up in the ER on New Year's Day needing a blood transfusion and the doctors that called her reached her even when she was on vacation. She's always communicated well and is super caring of her patients. I wish my body wanted me to get better as much as she does. read more

I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Dr. Hazan. How many times does a doctor call you on a weekend to check on you after a visit? Not only that, when I first started my drug-trial for psoriasis she came in to the office on a Saturday to administer the injections personally and accommodate my schedule. Dr. Hazan is a superb physician and gastroenterologist ! She thoroughly examined me and asked pertinent questions for my chronic stomach symptoms . She is very well versed in her field and performed simple tests where other similar doctors have not . I highly recommend Dr Sabine Hazan, which is why my family is also being treated at her clinic. I am so very grateful for all of the depth of care from Dr. Hazan and her very friendly staff. I came to her with chronic stomach pain and needed relief badly. A doctor I had previously could not get me relief, even after much effort. Dr. Hazan started with extensive and very thorough testing to detect part of my problem. Then after a procedure, she saw completely what my problem was. As a result, she asked me to eliminate several items from diet and prescribed a single medication. After one week I felt much relief. Now, six weeks later, I am completely healed. She's an expert at what she does. Because I needed and really wanted her help, I was willing to follow her directions. She turned out to be the best doctor I could have had. All who assisted her were so very pleasant with me and always seemed happy. read more

I would first like to say that if it wasn't for this doctor, I wouldn't be able to write this review or continue living a normal life. When I was initially diagnosed, the doctor told me I would need to change my life-style and be put on medication. At first I was stubborn and thought I knew my body better than the doctor did. Then I thought about it for a minute and said to myself, this woman is a professional, she specializes in the Gastrointestinal tract. She has spent 16 years studying the gut. What have I done? Read a column in Men's Health? Even though I was felt the urge argue, I realized that I had no clue what was going with myself and that she had most knowledge to what was happening to me. At the time, I was a student and my insurance could not fully cover the medication I needed. However, Dr. Hazan went above and beyond to provide me with the medications. Even though most outlets refused me service, she was able to find a way. Instead of focusing solely on the prescribed medication, she encouraged me to change my lifestyle habits in order to fully reach my wellness potential. To be honest, she was strict and hard-pressing about what was required of me, but it was what I needed. Too often we prefer to live in a numb world where everything is easy and there are no problems, but we only begin to have a reality check when a tragedy or crisis happens. She would follow up with me outside of her office or give me a direct call on her cell phone to check on how I was doing. I never had a doctor or any other professional give me that much attention. I can also say what she did for me is what she does for everyone of her other patients. A year later I was due for another procedure to check on my diagnosis. It turned out I was fully healed! Dr. Hazan saved my life. If it wasn't for her kindness and belief in patient care I would still be sick or worse. Also, on another note, Dr. Hazan has inspired me to go into the medical field professionally. Working at a clinic now with other doctors, I noticed that most people treat their doctors with a great deal of disrespect. To put this in perspective, these doctors work their asses off and sacrifice a large portion of their life for the betterment of their patients. And then to see their patients not even have the decency to be grateful for their invested time and hard-work to an ideal that is to improve the health of others is ridiculous. People must remember that these doctors have been pushed and continue to be pushed to their limits. We will all one day be patients and doctors know that more than anyone else, so they realize the importance of giving their all to each individual patient. Next time you see your doctor give them some gratitude for them sacrificing part of their life to help yours. read more

This is my second post on this board (1st was 4/27/17). This week I received another bill from Hazan for an outrageous price ($500) for a so-called "Extended Consultation" = less than 10 minutes and a complete waste of my time. Apparently, she makes $3000/hr. I called my insurance company, and the rep I spoke with, after speaking with Hazan, called her a "piece of work." I concur. The rep said that an e-fund transfer was deposited in one of her numerous (weird?) accounts on 07/06/17. On her letter to me, Hazan wrote "After contacting Blue Shield and reviewing their statements we have discovered that checks for payments that were meant for us were instead issued and sent to you along with your explanation of benefits." I now have her documented lie, and at this point, I put nothing past this sleazy excuse for a medical practice. If they contact me again, I will seek legal recourse. She needs to be exposed. My advice: stay the heck away from Hazan. read more

This doctor charged me $500 for my first consultation. The receptionist said they do accept my insurance, but I later found out after the consultation that they DON'T accept it! Finally, my insurance made a deal and agreed to pay part of the bill to solve this issue. However, almost TWO YEARS LATER, I receive a letter from the doctor saying that I haven't paid at all, except for my copayment for that visit! Luckily I still have all of the previous paperwork fight against their claim, but their tactics to get more money from me are very sneaky! read more

I saw Dr. Hazan in her Ventura clinic about 4 years ago. As another reviewer said, she started off seeming to be a caring practitioner. I must have undergone several diagnostic tests and endoscopy. I felt that everything was going too fast so I tried to postpone the endoscopy. She tried to scare me about my potential ulcer perforating, etc., so I went ahead with the endoscopy. In the end, there were billing issues, and I refused to pay about $200 of a bill that was in the thousands because I believed it to be their error. She called me and became aggressive and threatening. As other reviewers have said she seemed more motivated by money than by practicing medicine. In retrospect, I wish I had not gone to her, as I later learned that she had been sanctioned in at least two states. Save time and your money and stay away. read more

Run don't walk from this Doctor Please People go to Medical Board website for Florida, New York and California for this doctor if you want to see was sanctions in all 3 states and in Florida Was Fine over 15,000.00 in the death of a patient. It is public record so you look and read what sanctions she has against her. I am astound that she is allowed to practice. If you want to file a complaint with Medical board of California the number is 1-800-633-2322 and I recommend that you do the more complaints she gets may be she will change the way she practices and the medical board will keep and eye on her. She perform two procedures on me at the same time when she first set it up I cancel the first time then took a friend with me to ask question about procedures we were told that I was wasting her time, taking time away from children and that I had high anxiety that I should be on meds and if I cancel again she would charge me for the procedure still could not get any answer from her went ahead with procedure because of threat of charging me for canceling the procedure. Please people run don't walk to the nearest exit find a reputable Doctor that will treat with you respect and dignity and compassion and listen to you, she is all about the money and clinical trials. Yes by the way I have been sick since the procedure will not return my calls nor will she speak with my GP.
