Please I urge you to think twice about going with a law firm that is almost constantly advertising their business, and to be fair there are always an exception to my rules. I did that and after a 2 or 3 month waiting time because of my need to save up for their quoted price, the price went up $800.00. I did question her about price increase but got no where. I simply replied " OK let me see what I can do to scrape up more money." She replied "Ok we are here for when you need us". What kind of lawyers office would want to stick it to a potential new client? I thought their goal was to help? I then searched on line for another lawyer and came across the firm of Cunningham, Chernicoff & Warshawsky, P.C. who I have heard of only because they have been in this area for 38+ years. That amount of yrs in business speaks for itself. I called them and was greeted by a calming voice, Deloris. This firm gets a point for her because at this time I was wound up from the $800 hike-n-price lawyers office, which the differance "might" go toward paying for commercials. Deloris collected the information needed and transferred me to a paralegal, Jacob Laughman. He asked me for a bit more information and set up an appointment with Johanna H Rehkamp within one week! I felt a little more at ease. Fast forward to appointment and from the time I walked in to CC+W's door until the meeting with Johanna Rehkamp and Jacob was over I was very happy I did not go with first law firm. I actually felt more confident about my future. The people that I dealt with from CC+W were ALL very down to earth and did not make me feel on edge, whatsoever. I didn't second guess myself of going with their team once! Within roughly a month and a half time frame, everything I needed help with was taken care of and went as CC+W's team told me it would. Again, that shows experience.....and no surprises or price hikes along the way! If I ever need a legal matter taken care of I know where I am going back to. I can't say enough about them.

They asked for a $5000 retainer to handle the probate process of my father's estate and then proceeded to sit on their hands for the next 3 months. In the meeting that we had in August they outlined what they were going to do in terms of handling all the bills, getting all the mail redirected to their office, and to set up the estate checking account to handle said bills. So far, none of this has been done. I sent multiple emails asking them when things are going to get done and most of the time they do not answer me. When they do answer me or my uncle, they just say that this process takes time; but they have not done anything that I can see. My uncle calls and no one is there to take his call when he talks to the secretary. The only thing they have done that I can tell is send me the will 4 months after my father died when I told them in the meeting that I already had one. How much did that cost us? Mail is piling up in the foyer according to the real estate people when showing the house, I get termination letters for the bills such as home insurance and electricity and then we frantically have to pay it ourselves even though there is money in my dad's checking account to handle the bills. So they took our money and then have not done anything to earn that money. They are probably billing us for communications even though the only reasons why we are calling and emailing them is that they are not doing anything. I would never recommend this law firm to anyone as instead of making a difficult situation easier, all they have caused me is stress and deep aggravation.
