Selling a home…read morewithout a realtor can be an intimidating task to take on, but after my initial interview with Mr. Walters, I was sure that I wanted their office representing and advising me during the process. During the initial interview, which was free of charge, Mr Walters walked me through the challenges of for sale by owner, and gave me a good idea of how the process would be handled from start to finish. He was very patient in answering any questions that I had. After finding a buyer and going under contract, their office proved to be incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and patient. Any time I had a question or concern, it was addressed quickly and professionally. I cannot thank Mr Walters, Mr Galloway, and Miss Rhodes enough for the incredibly professional manner in which they treated me, the sound advice that they provided during the entire process, and the reasonable pricing that they offered. If you are considering buying or selling a home in the harrisburg area without using a realtor, I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this office of knowledgeable professionals! Thank you!

My phone did not ring but I got a voicemail saying she would call back. I called the office within minutes of the message but was told that the attorney was no longer available and that I could reschedule my appointment if I wanted. I paid for a certain amount of time and wasn't even given the opportunity to speak with an attorney about the questions I had. Office manager said she wasn't sure why the attorney who left me the message wasn't available and that there were no other attorneys available. Do not recommend based on my experience. Will be reaching out to other agencies to address the questions I have.

Two days prior to closing, my realtor asked if I heard from the settlement company about wiring instructions and I said no but said a cashier's check would be okay. I walk into this place, there's nobody present so I yell out hello and some guy comes from down a hall demanding to know my full name and the reason for my presence, then apologizes because the receptionist is off. Meanwhile, he never identifies himself. Closing is at 1pm and there is nobody present. I can hear footsteps as mystery man announces me and then more footsteps as Karen comes to say hello and collect my identification. As she's copying it, I see a check made out to me and it's not a cashier's check. I ask about it and Karen launches into a tirade about why a cashier's check isn't possible and a wire isn't possible either until Monday. I'm trying to explain what I was expecting but Karen is more concerned about being "right" than listening to my concerns and working together to better understand where communication broke down and, more importantly, how to move forward. I finally stopped talking to her because she wasn't being helpful. As an added bonus, she was so exasperated and confused as to who I was, she thought I was the buyer and was questioning why I would even get a check. Perhaps listening instead of talking would have been helpful. At settlement, my broker handed me the paperwork because I wasn't going to sit next to such a disrespectful loudmouth. As a final ironic touch, the buyer's agent complained that the pen that was provided by The Wiley Group was leaking.
