We visited Rebecca Rose photography for a "free" pet session that I won through a Facebook survey…read more They said they did a lot of pet sessions so I had pretty high expectations for the studio. The photographer was good, but she wasn't very good at getting and keeping the dogs attention. We still managed to get some good portraits, but the "red carpet" ones she took on our phones were really bad. The reason I put free in quotations is that they said that it was a free session, then we'd get a free 11 x 17 and we'd get a refund of our $200 deposit after the reveal session. What actually happened was when we went into the session, they ruthlessly tried to sell us very expensive packages and while I kept saying they were too expensive, the saleswoman basically kept saying "well this is why we need you to read the reveal guide before the session". I had read the reveal guide, but I assumed that I must've missed it because the way she was talking about it you would've thought it had much more comprehensive pricing. Ultimately, she just kept making it seem like it was my fault that I couldn't afford the type of packages she was trying to sell and made it very clear that I would not be getting any of my deposit back even if I only wanted digitals. The photos are nice, so I ended up paying the difference to get the basic resolution digitals from our session (which came out to 350 more than the 200 deposit so I paid the difference). They tried to sell me high res for like 1k, which I wasn't going for. I think the quality of these photos is not worth anywhere near the type of money they're trying to charge. They say it's because of the print quality but all the prints hanging in their studio looked frankly cartoonish. I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone when you could get a better experience for a better price with so many great photographers in Orlando.

Rich and Caleb were incredibly patient and professional with me. I was very nervous since I have never been photographed professionally that I would have a hard time taking direction and that my photos would reflect that, but Rich did a great job of directing me and it all felt very easy and natural. I just loved how special they made us feel throughout the whole process. We set up an initial time to FaceTime and get to know each other. I knew I wanted 2 photographers for our wedding and I was thrilled that Val and Ed are a husband and wife team - you can tell that they are just as in love as the couples they shoot. It's just so easy to get along with with them. KV shoots a limited number of weddings throughout the year and from what I gathered, had recently started doing more and more out of state weddings. I was so excited to show them our venue! I didn't hear from a lot of our vendors throughout the process, but Val and I emailed back and forth every 2 weeks or so - she was always checking in to see how we were doing and was always there to bounce ideas off of and give us inspiration. I felt prepared and confident in them and our planner the most of anyone we worked with! On the day of, Val and Ed were so prepared and professional. They got right to work and took some beautiful detail shots, but I don't remember seeing them after that - it's true that the whole day really flies by, which is why you have to hire and trust professionals to get everything done right. Val and Ed went above and beyond and captured some of the most beautiful images from our ceremony and reception and grand exit! We did a day after shoot and I had never heard of this before - I'm going to give KV Photography the credit for coming up with this - because #lightingmatters - how fun is it to put on your wedding garb again but with messy hair and last night's makeup, for me a coffee in hand... and wake up at 6am after your wedding to do a sunlight photoshoot at another location... it was so laid back and chill and we got some beautiful shots! Val and Ed gave us a sneak peek album on Facebook less than 72 hours after our wedding - and not just some small 5 image sneak peek, we're talking almost 100 images on this "sneak peek" - and my friends and family on FB went CRAZY over it. Not only do I get tons of compliments on our images and how beautiful and classy and professional they are, I also STILL have people telling me how much they loved our photographers at our wedding, my guests loved how they interacted throughout the night and just had a great time. That's the kind of feeling you want around on your wedding day. Surround yourself with professionalism and positivity and all will be OK. Do not skimp on a photographer because... you can't get back shots that have shadows on everyone's face or a really bad angle! I am so thankful for Val and Ed shooting our wedding! Then after the wedding, you have hundreds of images, and now what to do with them? How do you pick your favorites? It's so hard! Here's where Val REALLY shines - she picks out your best images, puts them together for you to tell the story of your wedding day from start to finish and they mail you a 12x12 album of your wedding. Now, I'll admit, I was not prepared for the QUALITY of this album. The book is huge and it is heavy, the pages are thick beautifully backed prints. Also the USB of our images was wooden and engraved with our names and date. It's these kind of touches that really were above and beyond for me in the service that KV Photography provides. I would recommend them to anyone, anywhere.
