I don't even know where to begin , Derrious Robinson of RTW Photography is nothing short of a genius behind the lens . Every shoot is absolutely flawless. He is a rare find with his professionalism , creative eye, love of his job and dedication to producing perfection. Whether it is a graduation, wedding, maternity, or a simple studio session , his touch is clear. He takes time to study color, lighting and improve any chance he gets. My first shoot with him was a swimsuit and formal dress shoot . He made sure that I was comfortable , and aware of the light . Despite the fact that it was a beach shoot he was very mobile and patient. We moved from sand to water then to rocks. He ensures that the client will get more than just one "perfect shot". His work will even have you looking at yourself differently . Recently ,I shot again with him at his studio for the first time. This was my first time , in lingerie, in a trench coat and also in a studio. He tested the lighting and made sure it was perfect , not just for my skin but for the mood . I was a bit timid at first because it was my first time using subtle poses. He made me aware of every change he asked of me during poses . Whether it was a head movement, my chin, or even placement of my hand , he showed me of the difference it made throughout the shots . This alone allowed me to be a bit more confident to move throughout our session. I have worked with other photographers in the past, Ride the Wave Photography is worth every single penny. I go to school out of state and I rather wait until I come back in town just to shoot with him. His editing is top of the line. He managed to edit the piercings out of my photos and made it look like I never had any. Granted, his work needs little editing but the things I am fairly conscious about like stretch marks and some discoloration on my arms he smoothed right out. So much I want to say in this review. Firstly, let me just start with (humbly) saying that I've had many offers to do photoshoots around the county and have declined all of them because I have never felt safe/comfortable with the energy and vision of the photographers (ladies you know what I'm talking about). When I saw Derrious' work not only was I blown away by his artistic eye, I actually wanted to shoot with him because I knew he was a man of good character and would create a safe environment for me to be in. In this day in age when anyone can buy a fancy camera and say they're a photographer in their bio, shooting with someone who was trustworthy was of the highest importance to me and this experience. From the moment we met the team during our wedding consultation we knew this company would be the best team to capture our special day. I cannot say enough great things about RTW Photography. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Before my photoshoot he responded to all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. My photoshoot needed to be rescheduled due to rain and Derrious was extremely accommodating with his schedule. During the actual photoshoot it started to rain and he was gracious enough to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the rain to stop and finish the job. That day, his staff member, Tre came along to assist and he was very helpful throughout the shoot. Due to the need reschedule, I needed my final edits within a few days for my birthday and he made sure I received them in a timely manner and by the date promised. On October 6, 2018, I celebrated my 70 Birthday. II just want to say, that Darious Robinson, Photographer and his Assistant for the Videography did an OUTSTANDING job!!! He took over 300 pictures in motion of everything my eldest daughter requested. RTW did an amazing job with our family photo shoot! They arrived at the location early and already had a few areas scoped out for us to take shots and ideas for poses. The photo shoot was very laid back and fun. They were also very patient with our 18 mos old son, who didn't like to still. They came up with ideas to embrace our son's business and were able to get really good candid shots. Maybe about a day or so after the shoot, We received a link to all of the photos and we selected our 15 shots to be edited and included in our package.
