Miss Kristen is beyond amazing with the children and extremely generous with her time, attention and love. We had a family member with a terminal illness and in the last weeks of their life, we chose to spend our evenings with them and missed a few "Parenting Classes" and were suspended. In the month before we talked about taking our child out of the class because of the constant coughing and runny noses in the classroom (to protect our family member and not have to wear a mask around them). Some kids were great and participated others just ran around and terrorized the other good kids. Some parents would get together right after school and talk while the kids played with hot wheels (usually 15 or 20 minutes), until we were asked to leave because the kids' sound bothered the school office's secretary.

But I eventually decided to give her a shot out of desperation. So glad that I did. The advice Mary gave was practical and effective. For instance, she suggested I schedule a weekly bonding time with my daughter, which is now the most-anticipated activity of the week for both me and my daughter. Last week, I almost cried when my daughter told me that I'm her closest person in the world, given I was clearly her most-hated person less than a year ago! My relationship with my daughter has been completely transformed since I met Mary. Wish more parents could get help from her! I snatched a photo yesterday when walking the dog with my daughter. We were so hesitant to do any formal sleep training because we have really enabled car seat naps, contact naps, and nursing to sleep exclusively. We thought there was no hope for our son to sleep independently. The very first day he slept so much better without us or our help. You have slept in months. You're at your wits end. Just do it!! Not every baby is the same and so not every book will work for every child. Michael helped me create a routine and system that works for my baby. He was napping and sleeping longer at night by night 4! My baby went from waking up every hour and a half at night and having to nurse back to sleep to nursing before bedtime and being put down totally awake and sleeping 4-5 hour stretches. He is not even 6 months old and I had been up with him every hour at night for three months. I am sorry I waited so long to get help! No cookie cutter approach here. We have a scheduled phone call every couple days to check in and discuss progress. I kept a journal of my baby's eating and sleeping so we could see the patterns. This program was a God send. I feel like a human again!

I came…read moreacross Shari because my 2 month old had a side preference on nursing and would get super frustrated and stop nursing. She was also very gassy and clearly uncomfortable. Shari worked with me and my baby and checked her for a tongue and lip tie which she ended up having both! Before I could get an appointment to get it revised she taught me so much about body work and how it all affects baby's feeding. With the stretches and techniques of full body massaging baby, working with her mouth, neck, head, nursing got better. I was able to nurse her on both sides and we worked on latching. After her lip and tongue revisions, I continued doing everything Shari taught me and I haven't had problems since. This baby is my third and last so I thought I knew it all. It has been such an emotional experience and Shari saved our nursing bond. She is very nurturing, kind, and informative. She has a lot of knowledge and experience. The only thing I wish was done differently was the fact that I didnt go to her sooner!
