My legs…read morewere numb, I was in the absolute worst pain of my life, to the point where all I could do was curl up in a ball in bed and cry for several days. I had seen my doctor twice, and a chiropractor four times, and the pain was no better. Pain pills weren't touching it, nerve pills weren't touching it. We contacted Sam and talked to him and then went in to see him. He listened to me tell him about what was hurting, and then he did these stretches on my legs and my lower back and hips, and within a matter of minutes, my pain had been cut in half. Now, he didn't make it go away completely, but by the end of the first massage and stretching session, I was able to walk out of there without crying. He had me come back two days later, and after the second session of stretches, the pain was completely gone. After several sessions with others and pain meds and everything else failed to work, two sessions with Sam and my pain was GONE. Now, any time I get a twinge of sciatic pain, I go right back to Sam to prevent it from happening. Haven't had a bad episode since. I'm disabled, and a bit overweight too, and Sam works with me on my disabilities and customizes the massages for whatever my needs and health problems are at the time. He is upbeat and kind, has never made me feel embarrassed of self-conscious because of my weight or my health. He is always friendly, courteous and skilled, and he keeps up on new techniques and things to try for new problems I might have too. He gives fresh water after the massage for helping to continue flushing out toxins. He provides specials too if you're looking for discounts. My best friend always goes to him for her neck and shoulder pain, and we usually go together and make back-to-back appointments. I don't get to go hardly as much as I would like but Sam's prices are reasonable, his services are wonderful, and i would highly recommend him to anyone who needs relief from chronic pain, stiffness, back problems, or even if you just want to pamper yourself and relax--it's just, he's so much more than just pampering. I believe it's therapeutic and preventative too. The difference it makes in my life when I'm in pain and he can get me out of pain has been immeasurable, especially when nothing else worked. I have been very impressed at the combination of techniques Sam uses. He combines traditional Swedish massage with stretching, some deep-tissue massage techniques, aromatherapy, fire cups, moist heat, and liniments. The massage oils he uses are very soothing and leave my skin soft and hydrated. Sam is excellent about listening to his clients and adjusting his massages to accommodate their needs, changing the amount of pressure he uses, avoiding areas or paying special attention to areas as requested. When I mentioned to the front desk that my hour massage had ended after only 45 minutes, the response I received was essentially a shrug and no effort was made to address the issue. I was still charged the full amount for an hour service despite not receiving the full hour. I'm disappointed not only that I didn't receive the service that was booked and paid for, but also that the staff made no attempt to make the situation right or explain why it happened. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication to Monica for the amount of time booked, or if she was the one who made the mistake. Either way, the massage was very good. That lack of customer service is the reason I won't be returning.
