I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so impactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. Marisa saves the day! I started having horrible abdominal pain at work, to the point I was doubling over. After a couple of minutes on the table, while she was putting in the needles, the pain went from a 9 to a 4. I was on the table for about 30 minutes and became so relaxed I fell asleep! Wow- wow-wow! I was feeling very stuck and lost and I stumbled upon Marisa and her business. There are a lot of major life changes happening in my life and I was feeling very scared and lost. Just sat down for dinner after the most relaxing car ride during a rain storm. I feel like the guy from office space after the psychiatry treatment, just without the boss. I must admit I was completely skeptical of hypnosis prior to meeting Marisa. Based on what I had seen in films/television, I honestly thought of it as a bit of a magic trick, not actual medicine. Having had two sessions with Marisa, I must admit I'm a total believer now. Unlike what movies portray, the actual hypnosis is gradual and done with incredible care and consideration. Marisa clearly and carefully walked me through the entire process during the first session, easing any doubts. In all of our interactions prior to, she was highly professional and encouraging. As for the hypnosis itself, it is the most relaxing experience I have ever had in my life. I've tried meditation, sleep therapy, etc and this beats them all by far. I have been searching for an accupunturist that has weekend hours with a long list of other requirements. Oh my. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Healing Point Therapeutics! I have a chronically bad back. There are days that are just hurt. I walked into Marisa's office a few weekends ago barely able to move. She gently found the right points, I could immediately feel the points working and my back unclenching. I saw her later in the week and once again, improvement. If I had to describe Marisa in 4 words, I'd say amazing, compassionate, sensitive and dedicated. She has never kept me waiting for an appointment. Not sure why Yelp removed my previous review but I am reposting it. Love Marissa! I had my doubts about acupuncture and with no really debilitating ailments I thought there was nothing really that she could do for me, but I was wrong! I went in for an intro and relaxation treatment and learned more about my body and my health than I have from my past 10 physicals. Marissa was able to tell me which parts of my body were tender or painful without me saying a word. She pointed out organ deficiencies and areas where my blood was stagnant (causing pain). She worked on my back (a constantly painful area for me) and was able to get the blood flowing and tightness out much like a massage would. After the relaxation treatment I could barely walk straight. It took me a good couple of minutes to gather myself because I nearly fell asleep on the table. I was rested and rejuvinated and felt like a million bucks. Marissa's extensive knowledge of acupunture was one of my favorite parts of the whole procedure. She is like an encyclopedia of facts and had an answer for every question I could come up with. I never had much interest in acupuncture before but now I find the whole practice so fascinating. I can't wait to go back for another relaxation treatment, but until then I'll keep looking for things that are wrong with me so that I can have an excuse to go in again. read more

All I have to say is, "WOW"! I was rushing and super late to see Marisa, so naturally I was stressed and felt all ramped up! As soon as I opened the door to the office, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief! Marisa is amazing! I saw her at least once a month for two years for acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha. I initially started going for migraines, which improved dramatically with her treatment. She really treated my whole self though. I was less stressed, my immune system was boosted, and I had more energy. I get wicked knots in my back and shoulders, and they were so much better after cupping, needling, and gua sha. I do not live in MA anymore, but if I did I would definitely be seeing her still. I have a history of shoulder pain for a few years so my doctor recommended acupuncture. I bought two coupons from Tippr but was skeptical of the results. I was very happy with the hours of operation. I work insane hours so it was very convenient for me. My first appt was about 90 min. Marissa was very detailed and took 30 min to discuss my medical history , concerns and treatment plan. I have had shoulder and upper back pain for as long as I can remember. Through the years, people have suggested acupuncture, but I absolutely hate needles. Just looking at a needle makes me sick and nauseous, and the thought of seeing one going into my skin-no way. Recently a friend of mine introduced me to Marisa, an acupuncturist in her building. The acupuncturist was giving free treatments that day and offered to give me one. I wasn't interested. She just smiled and asked if I would let her put one needle in, and if it hurt she would remove it right away. I finally laid down on the table to be polite, and before I knew it, she had put in several needles, on my hands and feet. I never felt them.
