Kathryn is ABLE!! She brings music, a table, blankets, and bolsters for under knee or under the neck. She is really incredible and strong. I needed a very deep tissue massage because of the tension and spasms in my back. Kathryn was able to reach into all of the spasms and or knots in my upper and mid-back. She was able to release all the tension and pain that was there. I was completely relaxed and much more flexible after she was done. Most people choose to have massages just to relax. I needed and received a massage that was good for my health because of her ability to get my blood flowing. Particularly in my legs and feet that are generally very cold. I had one of the best massages of my life. It is very clear that Kathryn is very well trained, extremely professional, highly competent and an honest and fair and fun person. I've been to J Emanuel Hodge several times over the last few months based on my friends experience with him. His massages are a joint effort focused on improving my well-being and life. He took time to review my overhaul health and any personal concerns before starting. Massages focus in on tight or painful areas - release is brought through pressure and breathing. Circulation, energy and happiness levels improve with each massage. I have noticed the effects last longer and longer with each visit. During my visit, Gale performed a Japanese Reiki session so recklessly that it caused actual injury. What was meant to be a gentle, healing energy practice turned into a painful and upsetting experience that left me physically hurt. I went in for relaxation and left injured. It was clear during the session that Gale lacked the basic competence to be performing this kind of bodywork. As if that weren't enough, Gale's daughter Chloe--who also appears to work at or around the spa--engaged in deeply unprofessional conduct with my husband. She made inappropriate comments such as "I want white babies" and created an extremely uncomfortable environment for him through her coercive and boundary-crossing behavior. No client should have to navigate unwanted advances or pressure while trying to relax and receive services. To make matters worse, the overall environment felt completely unprofessional. A spa should be a place of trust and safety; this was the opposite. Body and Healthcare & Spa should be ashamed to associate their brand with people who run such an unsafe and inappropriate operation. Do not trust these individuals with your safety. Go somewhere that actually respects client well-being and knows how to maintain basic professional boundaries.

In addition to that, I work out anywhere from 4-6 days of the week, and the best I can do at the moment for my recovery periods is foam rolling, stretching, and basic yoga.
