I'm coning back into riding so my experience is useful but my knowledge of stores, products, etc. is quite stale. I found a bicycle that really interested me at Wright Cycle, and both the bicycle and the shop were a great initial fit in many ways. For me the real test comes after a year or so. As a year passes I develop a different relationship as a customer and get to know the staff, brands, etc. better over time. I'm really happy so far.

Purchased a Used Bicycle, Helmet, Lock as well as Lights on Tuesday. Left all items there until ready for pick up. They didnt take down my number to call when ready despite paying over $400. I walked around the entire store empty handed looking for a pump before I left. When I went on Friday the owner told his employees to 3 time to remind him about an item he WILL forget he put in the register. I tried to pick up all of the items told me i already took the helmet. I did not. His memory isnt serving him. The owner told me he put the receipt in the helmet box, but I pulled the receipt out of my wallet, which is where I put it. I asked the owner to check the security cameras. He said he wouldn't put it back in inventory and for me to check my house and car. When I called the shop later that day they told me, "just come get another one." Implying that already have a helmet. I told them to check the security camera footage and their inventory. They did not. They stole $60 from me. I didnt want a "second" helmet, I wanted the helmet I paid for and never received.

The Google machine brought me to the visitors bureau. For $7 an hour you can rent a nice bike to use on the miles of trails surrounding the river. The bikes are new seeming Trek bicycles and you're offered the option of getting a lock and a helmet. There's also a water bottle cage in case you think you're going to get thirsty. The visitor's bureau is more gift shop than bicycle rental shop, but...there's a lot of neat stuff to see. They also offer segway tours throughout the week. I didn't have time or I would have checked that out, too. Definitely worth checking out if you're in from out of town and want to go exploring.
