Before seeing Doctor Hagglund, our son suffered for years with debilitating eczema and incessant itching that detrimentally impacted his quality of life. I've been seeing Dr. G for a few months now for dyspnea, which is shortness of breath due to…read moreanxiety and extreme inactivity. Covid was really hard on me especially because I moved from New York City as a full-time musician to a stay at home dad sitting in front of my laptop 15 hours a day in this lonely isolated house on the side of highway 21. I found myself gasping for breath and suffocating in my own body very waking minute, it was terrifying to say the least. the pulmonologist couldn't find anything wrong with me so they said it was probably stress. My own investigative online research led me to Dr. G and his amazing acupuncture therapy. His no-nonsense approach and his calm and quiet demeanor yielded excellent results. His acupuncture therapy worked wonders, combined with his recommended exercise and supplemental intake routine advice. After only two short months, once or twice a week, I'm proud to say I feel completely healed and back to normal. I'm getting out of the house and taking proactive steps to maintaining a healthy lifestyle again. If you are going through any type of physical reaction to extreme inactivity, depression or anxiety, I highly recommend Dr. G in his facility. I should also mention that right before I started seeing him I tried Prozac which was the most terrifying experience of my life. Some people are afraid of needles but these needles are the kind that do not hurt. In fact, you kind of get addicted to the sensation after a while and I crave the meditative relaxed state they put me in. I am able to retrace old forgotten memories and meditate on what I really want out of life while I am on that table. There's something really magical about acupuncture that I can't explain. The fact is, there's no scientific proof that acupuncture does anything and yet billions of human beings throughout the ages have been healed miraculously from everything from cancer to sprained ligaments to headaches, asthma, anxiety, critical illnesses and even seizures. It really is a transformative experience and you have to experience it to realize how incredibly powerful it really is. especially if modern medicine has let you down in the past, you owe it to yourself to call Dr. G right away and give this a try. 2026 update!!! It's been a while, I moved away for a bit, and then when I moved back they were kind…read moreof far from me & I'm broke. But I threw out my back & I've had it with the steroid injections & bs. So I spoiled myself. They just reopened on Willoughby in Bushwick and oh my lanta!!!! It's a much more intimate space than they had 10 years ago, when you go for the community option I think there's only three beds now. Not only does the bed heat up, but the wonderful Dr Patchi put a heating lamp on my back for my cramps. LUXURY I swear this was a spa like experience! Patchi is super warm & chill, and SO intuitive with her hands. She also used a tens unit which I completely love. She is so so so skilled, and that excellent skill is overshadowed in the best way by her warmth. When we were done I slowly sat up and stretched my back a bit, and felt pops where I've been really needing to feel pops! She also did some needling for an ankle I broke last year that I'm still healing, and I'm really impressed by how much that worked. Of course it isn't magic, I still have cramps and my back is still rough, but both are much much much more manageable after just one session. I was tipped off to a pay what you can day coming up soon, and I really really really appreciated that (& immediately booked a spot). Being broke sucks, this economy sucks, looking for a job sucks, and it sucks even more when you feel like you're being judged for not having much money (esp since Bushwick is turning snooty).
